So, every now and then I have a dream that I can't wake up. Not that I'm dead or anything like that but a dream where I'm trying to open my eyes and I can't. So this morning, right before I woke up, I had this stupid dream. I was taking a walk in my neighborhood and I remember it was really close to Jim getting home and dinner time, which I hadn't started yet and I hadn't walked the dogs either so I decided to speed up. I remember too that it was summer and really hot. I came upon this house that was unlike any other in my neighborhood (white stucco and boxy with only one floor) and I thought that when the land for this neighborhood was sold, the person who lived in this house must not have wanted to leave. It was weird. So me being all curious walked up to the house and saw that the front door was open and I walked in. Interestingly, there were people there but I didn't care, I just walked from room to room to room - in circles - I don't know why. And it was so hot in that house even though they had all the windows open and about 10 fans. After I had circled the rooms about 5 times, someone in the family finally asked another who I was. That was my cue to leave. So I walk out of the house to go home and I found that suddenly it was completely dark. So dark that it was like I had my eyes closed. I remember walking down the driveway toward the street and hearing bikers go by but I couldn't see them and I was afraid becuase I didn't know how I was going to get home without being able to see. So I decided to crawl. Yes crawl. And all I kept thinking was "I can't see. I can't see." I would shut my eyes tight and then open them really quickly hoping there would suddenly be light but there was no difference between my eyes being closed and open. But I kept crawling. And finally I came to an intersection where I knew I had to cross the street and I realized I had my eyes shut and when I opened them I could see lights on in houses which reflected outside and I could see just a little so I stood up and started running home. That's when I woke up and Sami draped her body over mine in "good morning" and I popped out of bed not wanting to fall back into that dream again. So now I'm up and just about to make breakfast. It's Super Bowl Sunday and I don't really care because, well, New England is going to win and what's the point of watching that game?
Maggie gets home today and I'll tell you, I DO NOT like her being out of phone contact. So, note to Maggie - You are not allowed to go out of town again without calling me at least every other day. I'm going through withdrawl! I mean, it isn't like I have anything to tell you but Jeez! Get home already! And now with Mom and Richard going to see you Tuesday, you won't have time for me then either! Well, at least on Monday I can expect my 10:02 phone call.
Okay I best head over to the stove and cook breakfast. Today I'm making pancakes instead of fried bread. Exciting huh? Tonight we will be having Beef Stroganoff - mmm, my favorite.
Also, just to let all know - Blogger's all effed up and won't let me spell check so if there are misspellings (is that how you spell misspellings?) it isn't my fault! ARGGGGG!!!
Ooh, David Gray is on! I love him! If you haven't heard him, you must! Later!

That dream sounds a little bit on the terrifying side. Yikes!! I'm glad you made it though. By the way, I've got some boxes to put all my stuff in when I clean out my desk and move. :-) I said I was sorry. Jeez!! (Sniff, Sniff!)
We'll watch the Superbowl at least until it looks like the stupid cheating Patriots are going to win, then we'll probably stop. I have been meaning to ask you forever, what is fried bread? Is that the same thing as French Toast?
We're back. Maggie has a headache or she would have called you by now. I am on way out to get her a cheeseburger and fries from Pharoah's. If you didn't get a chance to try it last time you were here it is a must for your next visit. Anyway, I will email you some blog worthy pics of Maggie on horseback and another holding a large iguana. Love you Charlie
