One Last Crazy Dream For 2007

So my crazy dream for last night had to do with school and the head honcho there. In my dream it was a Tuesday. Normally we get paid on Thursdays but for some reason my colleague "Crazee" had our paychecks early (I don't know why she had them). So I get mine and it's for $.21! That's right, twenty-one cents! It had originally been for over two thousand (?) but all the numbers had been scribbled out and penned over with ".21". Needless to say, I was pissed. So I call the treasurer's office and start demanding to know what the deal was and who screwed up. I was talking to this guy who works there, Doug, barely letting him get a word in. Finally, he was able to say, "I don't know why "head honcho" did it (he said his real name)". I was stunned. I assumed it was an accounting problem, not something done, on purpose, by my own principal.

So I call HH even though I was at school and should have just waltzed down to his office. I calmly say when he answers, "we need to talk." He answered that he had some time later in the day and I tell him that wouldn't be good enough - it would have to be NOW. He hung up on me. I called him back and he didn't answer! I keep calling and he finally answered and explain that I found out how he had changed my paycheck and then continued to rant and rave about how I don't work for free and he had seen me teaching and if he thought I was that bad he should have said so instead of telling me, "good job". His response was, "F&%k me." My answer was, "Yeah, I can agree with that, F&^K You!" He explained that he had been spending so much money on frivolous things at school that he thought he could make up for it by saving in payroll. Oh, okay, that makes sense! NOT!!! After that we hashed it all out and I woke up. It was weird. This doesn't bode well for how the rest of the year may go! I'm a little scared now! I just need to remember my new mantra: Does it affect me? No, then it's not my problem.

So plans for the day: Trip and Susan are coming over probably around 5. I will be straightening the house (though it's pretty clean), doing laundry and cuddling with my pups. I'm making Beef Stroganoff for dinner with a salad and bread and then the four of us will be playing Euchre and Uno and anything else that may sound like fun (Hearts?). We most likely won't last to midnight but that's all right. I sure wish Maggie and Charlie were here to ring in the new year! Maybe next year??? Rather, definitely next year!!! Get your arse back home beeyotch!

Jim's off to work a half day so I better make him a small list before he leaves. I'm making pork and sauerkraut for our traditional new year's day meal and need a pork loin. And Graeter's!
