Taking Down Chritmas

So I was just sitting here thinking about when I'm going to take the tree down and really, it has to be today. See, tomorrow is New Year's Eve and Trip and Susan are coming over. Then, on New Year's Day, I have other things I need to do - like get ready for school the next day! Can you believe how crappy that is? Not even a full two weeks? And really, I'm not bitching for me! It's for the kids. I feel so bad for the kids! (Can you hear my sarcastic pity?) See, I'm going to have to hear them bitch about how all their friends (who are you kidding, you have no friends) in other school districts don't have to be back until Monday! Waaaa! Cry me a river kid! Life Sucks! Deal with it!

So contrary to what it sounds like - I woke up in a good mood. I just had a dream that I had to park in a kid's parking spot at school. When I got to my car after school there was a note on the windshield that said, "I'm allowed to park here! I have notes from Bixler and Prince." Which is funny because Bixler no longer works at my school and hasn't for about 5 years. Anyway, I wondered why the kid would write that particular note when I realized that it was #1 signed by a freshman (who are not allowed parking passes) and #2 the kid is someone who recently got suspended for 10 days for having drugs at school. I was pissed that the secretaries may have reinstated his parking pass and planned to take it to the principal then next day. I need to learn to mind my own buisness, huh?

The other thing I remember about my dream is that I was driving a grass green Gremlin! Well, it looked like a Gremlin. It was so ugly with rust all over it and it was about -2 degrees at the height of the day! I guess I'm preparing myself for the cold we're supposed to get on Tuesday and Wednesday. Cincinnati weather can't decide what to do: 40s one day; 50s the next then suddenly 20s and snow! Ugh! I want it to just be freezing!

So plans today: Clean, cook breakfast, do laundry, sit and knit and watch TV! Bengals play Miami but who gives a poop about that? If Miami wins it will be so embarrassing. I'm almost scared to watch.
