This post is dedicated to my colleague Lisa whose presence recently has made it near impossible to get anything done.
For the first time in our 6, (going on 7?) years together, her desk is cleaner than mine. I am completely unorganized! I barely know where I'm supposed to go from bell to bell, much less have lessons planned. This is due to the fact that Lisa is using unfair means of sabotaging my attempts at organization. She keeps forcing me watch the kids in our room rather than working. I sit there and watch them head bang on the floor during their "down" time while lying on their stomach, headphones on, or I watch them laugh uncontrollably with applesauce in their mouth for no reason I can see other than a fellow student is, I don't know, standing there. By the way, applesauce flies in all directions when you purse your lips together and blow - go figure. My poor student teacher must think all we do all day is sit and call and email each other (my desk and Lisa's desk nearly touch by the way) all the funny things that our students do to make us laugh (behind their backs). Um, is this wrong? Do other teachers do this? Am I going to hell? Well, if I am, I do believe, all my colleagues are going with me. Especially Lisa. Like she said earlier today when I told her she was going to hell for being mean to mean: "I'll see you there".

I just can't help it that these kids are hilarious!!! What will you remember 10 years from now - how one belly-bounces or blows applesauce everywhere or getting your lesson plans done on time (which, by the way, I have not written a single lesson plan yet, so you're ahead of me there). I will try to be quiet and not talk so much next week, but I can't guarantee anything. :-)
Hee Hee!!! I certainly will remember our room this year. (I just wrote remembeer. Hmm)
RememBEER! ;-) Maybe that's a sign that by the time this year's over, we'll need some sort of IV with beer (or whatever the favorite alcohol is) flowing through it.
