Home Sweet Home

Jim's home. He came home Saturday and is feeling good. In fact, he was out working in the side yard which I told him NOT to do but Jim doesn't listen to me. He's still on antibiotics for the next several days. He woke up this morning and said his lungs hurt probably from the coughing he did after the bronchial thingy they did for his biopsy. We don't have results from that yet and I'm guessing it'll be a few days. I'll have Jim call today and find out if he needs to make an appointment or what.

I'm not sure when Jim will go back to work but we're shooting for Wednesday. I'm going back to work today and I don't look forward to what's waiting for me. I have a ton of shit to grade and assholes to deal with. I'm not sure how I'll handle them but I need a bit of info first before I lay into their asses. I'm guessing a lot of students will have some zeroes entered into their grades and I'm pretty sure there will be a handful who didn't do their history study guide which means they'll not be allowed to use it on their test this week.

Additionally I have an IEP meeting today (and tomorrow). The one today is an ETR where we should be writing the kid off an IEP. There's a possibility that the mother won't show up (via Zoom) and that will put a hiccup in our plans. We'll see how it shakes out.

It snowed overnight but really only stuck to the grassy areas. Of course they're saying to be careful for black ice which always makes me nervous but hopefully by the time I head out, the traffic will be heavy enough for that issue to be gone.

Dinner tonight: I think I'll make BLTs. Something easy.

And that's about all I've got. I'm going to cut out early so I can get some shit done before the kids show up. Happy Monday! (Two weeks and I'll be in PIB...hopefully). Later!
