So Many Things To Do

I still don't know for sure if we're going to head up to the Bay tomorrow. I have to wait and see if Billy/Miller posts a warning. They haven't shut ferries down yet for today but I expect they will. It's going to just have to be a wait and see type thing. It looks like the winds start to die down in the early morning hours of Saturday so fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I have lots to do. I'll make my final list at school today and hope I don't skip something. The big thing is I need to remember to write a check for the tree people who are supposed to come Tuesday, weather permitting. Looks like it will be nice though. I did my grocery shop yesterday and started getting things ready for packing in the garage. Now it's just a matter of stowing thing efficiently so that we can easily fit the boys. I told Jim last night that he wasn't allowed to bring anything stupid like he does. He always tries to sneak stupid shit in that he ends up never touching. For instance, his backgammon board or his baseball mitts. He grudgingly agreed.

I will take my computer and hopefully remember to post on Monday and Tuesday. My plans while there? Lots of sleep, game playing, reading; I'm going to knit (hopefully Birdie a sweater) and teach myself to crochet. I don't have a lot of confidence in that but I'll try. (Maggie bought me a little "teach yourself to crochet" kit.) Jim and I will stow things away from winter and other than that, no plans. I can't wait! I hope the dogs love it.

School today should be an easy, boring day. The sophomores are headed to the career center so I'll have minimal students. I only have 2 sophomores on my caseload but several in the classes I teach and they are the bane of my existence. Normally my freshmen drive me to the brink of insanity but this batch of kids who are now sophomores are the most fucking immature. Hopefully the bulk of them will go to the career center next year.

Okay, time to get a move on. BTW - so sad that I started on the second to last British Baking Show episode today. Why can't they just do it continuously throughout the year?! Later!
