Post-Thanksgiving Post

Currently I'm sitting here on the couch with Mom watching the Today show. I'm about to turn it to a Hallmark Christmas movie because I'm sick of hearing about Black Friday shopping. I've just made my menu for most of the week along with my shopping list. Jim's getting ready to go to work (threw his boss a solid) and after I finish here, I'll head up to exercise. Maggie and Charlie will probably be here around 11 o'clock to pick up Mom and after that I'll run errands. BTW - I'm hearing every thought that pops into Mom's brain right now...mostly about her cats and many things I've heard several times before.

Yesterday was good. It was my birthday and the best part of it was that I got to see everyone (except Cullen) and was fed a delicious meal. And dessert? So good...all my favorites including apple pie, Texas sheet cake, and a pecan chocolate pie. I need to do a little extra walking/ellipticizing to work some of that off!

After dinner last night, we took our annual after dinner "Fart Walk" and our route took us passed the old house. It was hard for me seeing other cars there and other people living in what was ours for 50 years. I didn't think I'd be affected like I was but sometimes things just hit you when you aren't expecting it. I just have to learn to embrace it, deal with it and then get over it. A new family making new memories just like we're starting to do in Becky's new house.

Tomorrow, Jim's taking me to Prima Vista for my birthday which I'm VERY excited about. It's one of the best Italian restaurants in the city with THE best view. After this past week of eating and drinking, Monday will be the start of healthy eating and minimal drinking at least until Christmas. I've been so bad lately and need to do better.

And that's about all I've got. Dinner tonight will be Detroit style pizza (Jim's choice) and a salad. K - best mosey. Later!
