Pushing Through

Man, I had the worst headache yesterday! I had taken a bath around 12:30 and when I got out, my head started pounding. So much so that I couldn't do anything but lay in bed and wait for it to go away. I took some ibuprofen and took a 15 minute cat nap and when my alarm went off it was thankfully gone. However, it left me really fatigued and shaky with a racing heart as well. I still went out to dinner with my lady friends but felt so weird. I had one glass of wine (that should tell you something) because I just wasn't feeling it. Part of it might have been lack of food but it wasn't like had hadn't eaten anything (I made a big breakfast).

When I got home from dinner (around 7:00) I sat on the couch for a bit, watched the shit show that is the Bengals and then decided to call it a night. I read for a while and shut everything down around 8:30. I woke up feeling fine, my heart still feels like it's skipping a beat every now and then but I don't feel bad.

BTW - dinner last night was amazing. We went to Pepp and Dolores in Over the Rhine, an Italian eatery. We had a bunch of shared apps (fried artichokes in a lemon butter sauce, bruschetta done two different ways, bread with ricotta spread) and then I had a pasta called "Limone", which consisted of spaghetti, Meyer lemon, chili flake, Parmigiano-Reggiano, garlic breadcrumb, ricotta. It was so yummy. Can't wait to take Jim there some day.

Speaking of Jim, he has his (hopefully) final follow-up with his surgeon today. She's back from maternity leave (today might be her first day back) and I'm confident she will give him the all clear. His appointment is at 9:00 and then he has to drive all the way up to Wilmington for work. Bummer.

Speaking of driving - Jim got a text from the dealer at Hyundai and she said the truck should be in on January 11th. Woot! We'll see how many times that gets pushed.

So it should be an easy day today and an easier week. There's a coffee truck coming today to treat the teachers as well. Yummy!

And with that, I'll hit the road. Dinner tonight will probably be Marsala chicken in the Instant Pot. Happy Monday. Later!
