In other news, almost all my kids were back in class yesterday. I feel like a LOT of kids are coming to school and are still sick...lots of sniffling and coughing in my room. Hopefully they're not contagious anymore. I'm just glad I'm vaccinated for flu and Covid (though Covid hasn't been the issue lately).
I still haven't had my 10 minute walk through for my observation which is annoying because I feel like he'll end up coming in during the last 10 minutes of class which is usually when kids are working on their own. Oh well. I'll just pull up a Kahoot. So stupid.
My kids are getting loopy. Yesterday one of my girls during first bell kept begging me if she could leave and get a coffee and donut. Of course I said no. Then she was asking if she could get Door Dash to deliver her a coffee and donut. I said no and she kept on and on and on. (I love her so I wasn't really annoyed.) Finally I had heard enough of the, "That's stupid we can't get Door Dash delivered whenever we want at school" and said, "Would you like me to make you a cup of coffee with my Kuerig!?" She of course said yes...she had a lovely cup of caramel truffle and a dark chocolate/peanut butter protein bar which handily shut her up. Her comment was, "I love this class." I hate that she's a senior and will leave me after this year. Oh well, you gotta let them fly.
Nothing major happening here. Maggie and Charlie are headed to New Orleans today (7:30 am flight). Mom is staying with Eva. Hope everyone has fun and Maggie and Charlie have safe travels. Mom, call if you need anything!
K - I'd best get a move on. Dinner tonight will be shrimp tacos with an avocado crema, cole slaw and maybe a Mexican rice.
