I Made It!

Granted, I took a 1/2 day on Wednesday and I wanted badly to take the day off today, but I made it! It's the last day before break and once 9:30 hits, though I'll still have to sit at school until 2:30, I'll be DONE and I'll have a solid 16 days until I have to step back into the school. Let's just hope I make it through today. 

Tik Tok is annoying. Apparently there's a challenge for today that's gone around for students to commit acts of violence at their schools. Several schools across the country have cancelled classes and the rumor is that we'll have a beefed up police presence at school today. For me? I'll be closing and locking my door at school once my kids are there for their exam. So sick of this stupid shit on social media.

Tooth saga: So I got one name from my dentist for an endodontist as well as a referral from Lisa. So I called the guy Lisa referred me to first since she'd been to him and loved him. I talked to the receptionist and after telling her what was going on, she asked who my insurance was and I told her. Her response was, "Oh, yeah, well, with that insurance, there's a three month wait for a root canal." Are you fucking kidding me!? I almost hung up on her. So I called the next person and explained my shit (she didn't ask about my insurance) but the first appointment I could get for a consult was January 19th. Fuck! I took it, what else was I going to do, but I said to her, "Jesus! What do people do who are in pain!?" Basically her answer was antibiotics. Now, I don't have swelling or inflammation and I'm not in constant pain but I can feel that it's headed there. I'll call my dentist today and tell them what's going on and request they prescribe me some antibiotics in case I do have issues. I go to the dentist on the 29th to get my permanent crown put on and we'll see what the doc says then. So annoying. 

Plans for the weekend (and beyond): I'll start making my lists for Christmas Eve. I also need to do a little shopping, I guess, for Jim. However, his real gift will be a car but I still want to get him stuff to open on Christmas. I want to get my kitchen cabinets repainted which I'll work on next week. I get my hair done on Tuesday. I'd like to go to Maggie's for a day or two over break but I need to figure out the best time for that. And beyond that I'll just be hanging out and chilling! 

Okay well, I guess I need to A) go wake my husband up (he's been lazy and won't get out of bed even though I made his coffee and breakfast and B) head to work. They're feeding us Bravo today for lunch. Dinner tonight - well, I was planning on homemade pizzas we'll see if that sticks.
