So I was getting dinner ready last night (by the way - I made Pasta Fagioli - AMAZING!!!) and it was WARM out so I said, "Hey, I'm turning off the heat. It's set at 60 degrees and the house is 63." And I hear a muffled something so I looked over into the family room where Jim was and saw him ridiculously hunkered down, completely wrapped up in my quilt. Seriously, he had his head covered and everything. I said, "What!?" And he poked his mouth out enough to say, "WHY!? I'm freezing." I said, "Stop being such a pu%&y!" (Sorry ladies). And he said, "But my vagina's chilly!" He's so inappropriate and stupid. This morning I asked if his vagina had warmed up and he said, "Yeah but now my cervix is cold." How did I end up with someone so ridiculous!? Hee hee.In weekend news, I had so much fun with Maggie, Charlie and especially Eva. I miss her already but I get to see her Wednesday. She wouldn't even hug and kiss me goodbye yesterday! Little turkey.
Highlights from the weekend:
- Reading to her before she went down for her naps and bed. She's into these two books her Daddy got her. One about the machines on a construction site (it's actually a really good book) and another about a little blue truck.
- Bath time: One of mine and Eva's things are when she takes a bath, she likes me to stick my feet in...and then she usually proceeds to wash my leg. Well, one spot on my leg...I'm very clean on my left calf.
- We watched Frosty the Snowman about 5 times together; Rudolph 3 or 4; Frozen 2 times and Brave once.
- Eva stole my socks. I was laying on the couch and had my fuzzy blue ankle socks on and she said, "Can I have these!?" And she ripped them off my feet. On her they were leg warmers and they actually looked really cute. She ended up wearing them the rest of the night and even to bed. Interestingly, I came home with fewer items in my suitcase. Little thief.
- Ted's...yummy!
So this week should be easy. Today I'll just do my normal Monday stuff but tomorrow (day before t-giving break) tends to be useless. We'll see what I have in store for that. Lots of kids tend not to show up. I've already had one student tell me he won't be here at all this week. And how this is allowed considering he's missed a TON already, I'll never know. We need a better truancy system.
I need to get my driver's license renewed but I think I'll wait until Wednesday. I'll just get up and go right when they open...hopefully they won't be too packed.
Okay well that's all I've got. YAY for the Bengals! Later...Happy Monday. Ooh, and it's TRES TRES windy here. I hate wind. K - later!
