Sorry I didn't post yesterday...I could have but slept late (late night Friday) and may have still been just a little drunk when I awoke...oops.
So Friday was so much fun. The ladies (Terri, Bev, Lisa, Heather, Meera and Cheri) and I went to happy hour at the Precinct and then across the street to Tostada's for dinner and a bit of Karaoke. I had NO plans to get up and sing! But then I kept drinking and alas, liquid courage kicked in. Granted, I didn't sing on my own but I did get up as back up to Lisa for Joan Jett's "I Love Rock and Roll". Then, some kid - I'm assuming he was in college as he was drinking - came up to our table and roped all the ladies into singing with him. The funniest part (or most insulting, depending how you look at it): No one knew what his name was and so every time they announced the next performer, we would look at each other and say, "Is that him? Do we go up!?" And then they announce, "C.J. and the Cougars are up next singing Meatloaf's 'Paradise by the dashboard light'" and I knew. I'm pretty sure I yelled out, "That little bastard!" Oh, and that song for karaoke?! Ridiculously hard. I'm not sure we were even able to finish the song. And by that point, I was well in my cups...it wasn't pretty. Yesterday - Jim and I just hung out. His car was in the shop for a brake job and we went to pick it up around noon after having lunch at Skyline but other than that, we puttered around the house. (It wasn't supposed to be ready until around 4:00 so BONUS!!!) I did some quilting on my machine (hopefully I'll finish that up today), enjoyed some beef stroganoff for dinner and caught up on my shows (Project Runway and Top Chef).
Today should be another day of relaxation. The Bengals don't play until 8:30 tonight which means I probably won't get to watch much of it. Reason: Jim's new job starts tomorrow and he has to be there at 6:00 AM. CHICK-A-WHAT!? Now you may be saying to yourself, "Muir, you don't have to be up just because Jim's up!" But you'd be wrong because Jim has to have me take off his dressing and repack it after he showers. Oh well...positive thoughts...A) Jim has a job!!! B) Jim doesn't have cancer and C) This too will pass.

In Eva news - Maggie and Charlie dismantled her crib yesterday and rearranged her room. She's been out of her crib for a while but she wasn't ready for her "little bed" to go away. I love the sweet pick of her bed all cozy and the new painting the hung in her room...looks just like Bussie! And finally Eva's new owl costume. Third year of her being an owl. I see a theme/obsession here.
Okay well, it's mimosa time. I best mosey and think about what to make for breakfast and then get Sami walked. Happy Sunday Funday! Later!
