Things Don't Come Easy

So Jim's got an infection.  UGH!  I think I mentioned yesterday that he had a restless night Monday into Tuesday.  Well, apparently he woke up with a fever and so called the doc, they had him come in and bing, bang, boom - dude's all infected!  They had to put a drain in his back and he's all hopped up on antibiotics.  They also marked the sides and told him if the redness spreads beyond that, to get himself lickity split to the emergency room.  Yikes!  Nothing is ever easy for Jimmy.

Last night was okay.  He thought he'd have to sleep sitting up in the over-sized chair in the family room but I fixed the spare bed up for him - lots of pillows etc. so he would be comfortable.  He ended up sleeping on his stomach and only woke up to take his meds.  Poor guy.  I just keep saying to him, "This time next week - hopefully this will all be over.  Drain out, stitches possibly out, pain better."  Fingers crossed.

Oh, and he can't drink either.  Which means, if he's up to it, he has to drive on Saturday for Oktoberfest.  That isn't terrible...for me.  I had actually planned on driving because he had been through so much lately but someone had other plans.

In school news - nothing.  I've done well in getting two of my IEPs mostly complete and will hopefully get more done today since it's Wednesday, which means independent seat work for my LA classes.

Okay - well, that's all I've got.  Headed to Costco after school today.  Oh, and Michael's to get needles and yarn.  Exciting, huh?  K - happy HUMPDAY!  Later!
