What's Wrong With Me?!

I'm losing it!  Why?  Well, anytime I have an IEP meeting, I set up an "appointment" for it in my calendar.  It allows me to send the same appointment to the IEP "team". So, yesterday I got to school...I immediately got on my email and then to my calendar.   Anytime I have an IEP, I send a reminder to the team the day before.  So, when I got to school yesterday - that's the first thing I did.  Then, realizing that my IEP was set for the middle of 6th period, I turned to Diane and said, "Hey?  Tomorrow, will you watch my study hall if my IEP goes into 7th bell?  I should have a sub for 6th but whoever it is will have to leave for 7th."  Diane:  "Sure!"

Fast Forward to 6th period yesterday.  My kids were taking a quiz and I was working at my desk.  At one point I looked at my computer clock and saw the time and exclaimed, "Holy SHIZZ!  I have an IEP in 8 minutes!"  (It was 12:52). I turn to Kim and Diane and say "I'm sure a sub will be here any minute! This shouldn't take long."  So I gather my materials and head out the door.  I had to come back because I forgot my binder which holds all my import info.  I run back into the room, grab that (Kim and Diane are just looking at me) and head back out.  I'm walking down the hall thinking, "I wonder why my calendar didn't give me a reminder." (My calendar give me a little reminder 15 minutes before an appointment.)  And then it hits me: I'm so stupid!  My meeting isn't until tomorrow!  So I walk back into my room and say, "I don't know what's wrong with me!  My meeting isn't until tomorrow."  And Diane says, "I was wondering what you were doing.  That's funny."  Me: "Well thanks for saying something!"  We chuckled that for a while.

So today should be fun:  Snow is supposed to hit during the morning. We aren't supposed to get much but of course, we'll be getting out of school just as the snow is coming to an end.  Hopefully it will be clear by the time I leave and I won't have to slide home. UGH!  Wish they'd just call us off!  I mean we get 5 days!  Who cares!  We haven't used ONE all year (or last year for that matter).  Makes me so MAD!
