A Busy Tuesday

First - yesterday was fine.  No stresses, no messes.  My skivvy-showing student was not a problem - though that changes from day to day...actually minute to minute.  I "started" Romeo and Juliet...really just talked about it.  We won't do any reading until Thursday.  Right now we're learning about Shakespeare himself and the Globe Theatre.

Today will suck.  Why?  Because we have a stupid teacher's meeting after school, which means I won't get out of there until about 3:00.  AND!!!  It's a meeting with my superintendent and the treasurer so that means it's going to be our annal meeting about the state of the district...finances etc.  We'll have a PowerPoint full of slides containing graphs and shit about money that I don't care about. Now, if our district were in dire straits, I would care but nothing has changed in the last 3 or 4 years...all things are the same so why do we have to sit there an listen to this!?  UGH!

After the meeting, I'll have to get Bubba at the vet.  He's having his skin biopsied today - sad face!  He hasn't had food or water since last night and he's NOT happy.  He keeps going outside and eating the snow that's left on the deck.  I don't really understand why he can't have any food or water since he's having a local anesthesia but whatever...I'm not worried about him having a little something.  After that I have to go to the grocery and this all means I probably won't get home until about 4:00. Sami won't get her two miles and I'll be running around until 5:00 getting dinner prepped.  I hate these kind of days.  C'est la vie.

And that's all we have time for folks.  Oh, loved Downton Abbey.  Love me some Mrs. Patmore and Daisy. Also not minding Edith so far this year.  Shirley McClain was good but best of all is Maggie Smith...she is deeeelicious!
