A Random Tuesday Off

Not unplanned, mind you but random to have a day off in the middle of the week.  And after 13 hours at school yesterday, much needed.  I don't know whose idea it was to have P/T conferences on a Monday but someone needs to be fired.  And let me mention too:  It is so nice of our PTO/administration to serve us dinner on these nights but dinner at 2:30 in the afternoon!?  Ridiculous!  Why can't we have conferences from 2:30-4...an hour break for dinner and then conferences again from 6-8 or something like that?  By the time I got home at 8:00 I was so hungry it was all I could do to NOT eat a sandwich.  But I restrained myself...had a water and a couple pretzels.  I hate eating anything after 8:00!

So my plans today:  I'm up. Slept until 7:30. I made breakfast for Jimmy.  I've made a quick grocery list and will head to the store in a minute.  I'm going to attempt to make those brownies I posted about yesterday...IF I can get all the ingredients (dates are going to be the biggest issue...I'll probably have to make the date paste myself).  Once those are made, I'll walk Sami, do some quilting, eat lunch, do some more quilting, prep dinner (Shepherd's Pie) and that's about all she wrote.  A nice relaxing day.

Oh, bonus too - Friday I have a 1/2 day (morning) professional meeting and we're meeting at Bob Evans.  Yay!  My department is meeting to create a "bank" to help with writing the post-secondary goals and activities for IEP's.   FW will also be working with all of us to streamline surveys that go out to regular ed teachers using Google docs (which I'm not finding to be very user friendly).  No biggie and a nice break from a normal day at school.  We should be done by 11ish and I'll be back in time for 5th, 6th, and 7th periods.  Nice!  That should make Wineday go very fast!

And that's about all I've got.  I'm going to go do a little clean-up on Muir before heading out the door to Kroger...later!
