I definitely thank God that nothing weather wise happened here but I'm so sad for those who were affected. Three people so far have been reported killed in my county alone but many (dozens) have been killed overall and they're guessing more will be found in the rubble today. This does not bode well for the spring/tornado season to come. I think I should just start drinking now and wake up when it's all over - maybe in June.

I've posted one photo from the destruction - from Henryville, IN. Check out that hail...I mean Jesus H. Christ! And the crazy reports from people finding trash, newspaper pieces and cancelled checks from hundreds of miles away...nuts. I need to move somewhere there isn't "weather". Is there such a place? I mentioned Maine to Jim but of course he shot that idea down when he said, "Mt. something or other has the highest reported winds in the country." Great! Then you come up with an idea.
Maggie asked me during the melee yesterday if I had a helmet and alas, I remembered Jim's bike helmet. I found it, put it on and I was ready for whatever came my way...as long as I had head protection and wine. I only wished I had three tiny little helmets for my babies. Don't you love that I have my helmet on backwards. I realized this before Jim got home and fixed it so he could get the full effect of my fear/craziness.
So, today I plan on hanging out, after grocery shopping and doing a little cleaning, before heading downtown to Bockfest - the annual beer drinking festival in Over-the-Rhine. Jim and I have yet to draw straws as to who is the designated driver...either way - it should be fun.
And that's all I've got for now. I best head out before Kroger gets too annoying . Later!
