I'm in hell. Allergy, snot-filled, runny-nose, can't hear, pounding head HELL!!!
I hate this time of year! Why? Really? If you saw the pile of used tissues sitting next to me, you wouldn't ask this questions.
Here are the reasons why this time of year sucks:
5. Ragweed - my nose is a disgusting, mess. Ever seen The Fly? You know, Jeff Goldblum? He starts morphing into a fly? Well, remember the scene where is body parts start falling off? (He keeps them in his medicine cabinet) My nose is nearly there. REally! I think any mintue, I'm going to pull a tissue away from my face, having blown as hard as I can to try and clear all that crap out and instead, I will have blown my nose right off my face.
4. Ragweed - my ears are constantly clogged from sneezing and sniffing and blowing (honking) my nose. My right ear reverberates like a crackling, blown speaker every time I hear something loud - like my dogs barking. I have 3 dogs! I'm in HELL!!!
3. Ragweed - along with my blown ear, I can't hear anything. I have to have the t.v. on so loud that even Jim yells to turn it down - and he's deaf!
2. Ragweed - My eyes are a watering mess. I look like I'm crying all the time because my eyes won't stop watering! They do the same while I'm sleeping so when I woke up, I could barely get my eyes to open because of all the crusties gluing them together. Of course now I am about to cry because I'm so fed up with feeling like this.
1. Ragweed!!! I don't see any end to this season right now either because the heat isn't letting up and we aren't anywhere near having a cool down drastic enough to end my misery. I've gone through 2 boxes of Puffs Plus since yesterday and they might as well be Puffs with sandpaper now that the top 3 layers of skin on my nose are gone.
I wonder if I could be put into a "medically induced coma" just until this is all gone. Or until my nose heals. I bet I'd lose a couple of pounds too. Maybe I'll call my doctor on Tuesday...see what he thinks. Hook me up to a feeding tube, turn on some good tunes, get me a little rest and then wake me up in time for the fall line-up. I'll be 10-20 pounds lighter and my nose will be ship shape.
Oh, and P.S. Jim says that he's allowed to leave his pants anywhere he wants as long as I'm constantly leaving my used tissues everywhere. I guess I can't complain...it isn't like his pants have been peed in -whereas my tissues...oooh.

Sorry you are not feeling well on the weekend of our last day off until December (not counting personal days). I hope your nose gets it together and quits producing so much snot. Damn that ragweed!!!
Hope you feel better before you have to go back to work. Ummm, Mrs. Orfield, what happened to our days off in November? They didn't take our Thanksgiving break away from us did they????
Oh yeah, I forgot. Yippee!! Now I'm all excited about Thanksgiving Break!!! :-)
