Lazy Sundays

Yawn!!!

Man I didn't get a lick of sleep last night. I kept waking up. First because Jim didn't get home until around 2 - so I kept thinking I would hear a car and wake up and - Nope, not him. I usually don't do that either. Lately, I haven't even heard him come in at all and the dogs have gotten used to him coming in late so they don't bark anymore. After that, I kept waking up because I was being pushed out of bed by my dog. Not the 70 pound one (who isn't allowed on the bed anymore), not the 55 pound one. That's right, the 25 pound bed-hog that would sleep on my head if I let her. She likes to stretch her body along my side and then every five minutes or so, stretch out further and push against Jim and then fake-yawn really loud. I Finally made her morning and got up around 6. She's such a little shit. I love her!

So, today, I'll actually get to spend some time with Jim for more than 1/2 hour. I haven't seen him for longer than that since Wednesday. And it isn't going to get much better. I think this week, he's going to be working nights on Monday and Wednesday and then I fly out to California on Thursday. I think his regular schedule is going to be Wednesday's - Saturday's. Oh well. You do what you gotta do. I'll be a single woman again.

I'm sure Jim's going to want to relax today and I will certainly let him - after he mows the front yard. Just parts of it. Most of it is a field of hay but the front area near the street is a little out of control. Oh, and he has to help me change the sheets on the bed. I cleaned the house yesterday and did all my laundry but it's too hard to change the sheets by myself. Damn bed's too big.

Other than that, I need to figure out my wardrobe for the week and then think about what to pack to go to Maggie's. I need to go buy one of those nice little weekend-type suitcases but alas, I don't have the money to spare. Oh well, I'll just take the duffel bag that I normally use. This week is going to be a tough one. I'll have to actually pack for Maggie's on Tuesday because Wednesday is Parent/Teacher conferences (I HATE THEM!!!) and I won't get home until after 8 and then Thursday, I go straight to the airport from school. At least it's a direct flight. I also have to remember to set the VCR for my shows on Wednesday and Thursday: The premier of Private Practice (the spin-off for Grey's Anatomy), then Survivor and Grey's Anatomy.

So much to do on what I thought would be a lazy Sunday.
