Well, I finished my re-read of the 6th Harry Potter in preparation for July 21st and the release of the 7th. I had forgotten the end. I'm peeing in my pants in anticipation now. I'm so nervous for Harry though because I just have this sinking feeling that he's going to be killed off. Oh, the humanity! This is also the weekend that Maggie will be in town and she has already told me that we aren't going to hang out because I have to finish the book before she leaves so she can read it (BTW - it's the largest that J.K. has written yet). FYI Maggie, not going to happen in one day. I'm a fast reader but come on!So, now I'm reading The Doctor's Wife by Elizabeth Brundage. It's a psychological thriller about Michael, a doctor in a small town in upstate New York who moonlights in an abortion clinic. In turn, some religious zealots nearby have begun threatening and following him until, finally, it comes to a head. His wife, Annie, has grown tired of her husband's long hours and thus neglect and has had an affair with a nearby artist, Simon Haas. Simon is married to a very disturbed woman, Lydia, who seems to steal the show in the novel. I'm only a 100 or so pages in and already, it's keeping me on the edge of my seat. I'll let you know.
