I'm ready. Ready for a vacation; ready to see the lake again, ready to play golf; ready to sip cocktails before 5 o'clock; ready to sit in the swing on the front porch while reading and going cross-eyed from the exhaustion that comes with doing nothing; ready to drink coffee in the morning in the back by the lake while watching the sun rise and the fish jump and the herons take their morning flight.
I'm not ready for water snakes and Canadian soldiers (pictured); dead chipmunks that don't understand golf carts are bigger than they are and will squash their tiny little heads. I'm not ready for jackass people that can't read the sign at the beginning of the street that says PRIVATE DRIVE NO GOLF CARTS, BIKES, or DUMB ASS TOURISTS and then turn around on our property. I'm not ready for not having a wave runner this year or coming home next Saturday. So my plans for the day are to clean the house - ship shape (already did the kitchen), pack up the dry good, go to Kroger, pack clothes and clean cooler. Then, Trip and Susan are coming over later for dinner and Euchre or Uno or Hearts or all three.
Jim has gone to Clifton to mow the lawn and then he has to pick up some stain for the steps that lead above the garage at PIB. He was specifically told not to dawdle (I know - inevitable, right?) and he is expected home before noon. He was also told today that all packing on his part will happen TODAY - not tomorrow before we leave. I also said that if I start bitching at him because he isn't doing what I'm telling him to do, he isn't aloud to get mad because I have 6 years of past experience that I WILL throw in his face to combat his turtleness. I know, poor Jim, he's married to Hitler. But I'm married to the pokiest son of a bitch that ever lived and I have about 10, no 100 people who will back that up.
K - I'm done being a hell raiser - gotta head to the grocery.
