The Weekend

So it’s Sunday and I’m Maggie-less. My sister has left me for a man!!! Can you believe it! Yeah, me too! I’d leave me, given the chance, if someone like Charlie came along. (Just giving you both your props) Seriously though, I wish you both the best and I hope you are prepared for the question of the day to start: “So, when are you coming back?” See, there isn't much in California for you except warm weather and the friends you’ve made there. You don’t want to raise your kids in LaLaLand. And, you don’t want to raise your kids without them knowing their Aunt Muir!!! I promise I’ll baby sit (if they aren’t brats). I don’t want to grow old reading emails and answering phone calls from you – life is too short to not be with family. So understand that after 2 years, if I don’t have a “game plan” for when I can expect you to be in the tri-state area – we’ve got problems. Rather, I should say, I’m going to cause YOU some problems.

Okay – I’m done preaching and being bossy (yeah, I know, I’m never done being bossy – poor Jim).

What did I do this weekend, you ask? Well, I rearranged my house. After spring-cleaning my house, I rearranged all the furniture that I got from “Maggie’s Moving Sale”. I haven’t decided if the family room is too much or not. Please let me know what you think of the pictures.

I went grocery shopping yesterday; Jim and I went to Shooter’s – our new local hangout – and played Mega Touch. Is it bad that when I walked in, the bartender said, “Guinness?” She already knows my drink – or rather one of my drinks. I think I’ll change it up next time and order a gimlet.

So, this week is a 4-day work week because I start Spring Break on Friday. YEAH!!! What, you ask, are my BIG plans? Well, I plan on writing IEP’s the whole time. And I plan on doing another on-line course so I can get re-certified. Fun! But at least I’ll have plenty of time on my hands because, did I mention, my sister left me and now I have no one to play with?
K. Later (let me know if my family room is too crowded).

I can't believe your sister left you for a man. I think your rooms look fantastic. Right now Charlie and I are in the beautiful state of Arkansas. we stayed in Litle Rock right by the Clinton Library, the library looked cool but Little Rock not so much. Anyway, I miss you and love reading your blog on the road so keep it coming. Your sister who will move back in two years,

I also think your rooms look great! You've done a fine job, and, like you, I will also be spending my spring break writing IEPs. Is it May 29th yet??
