New Purchase: You will all think I'm a little behind the times and that is true but yesterday I actually bought an MP3 player. Now, why, you may ask? Well, I'm trying to assist Bubba in losing some pounds (myself as well) and so he and I are taking walks everyday (Bubba for at least a mile and me for at least 2). However, I get bored with my own thoughts at times and so thought it might be nice to have something to listen to. The good thing is that damn player holds about 30 hours of stuff. It's pretty unbelievable. So, I have downloaded much music but if I want, I can also download books (which I listen to in the car normally).
Current book on DVD: Well, I just listened to "The 5 people you meet in heaven" and it was sort of sappy. I didn't like the guy that read it either so that probably made it worse. I returned that and am now listening to "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks. I'm sure it's way chicky but whatever, I'm a chick.
Current Read: I'm still reading the 4th book in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (for the 2nd time - I love it) but my next book is:
Mercy by Jodi Picoult. It's about Maggie and what she asks her husband to do for her. When Maggie's cancer ridden body becomes more than she can bear she asks him to kill her. What follows is a journey that there is no coming back from.My whole family has read it and can't say enough good things about it. That's enough for me when it comes to a book. I know that since Maggie, my own sister read it, she's had a lot of interesting thoughts about her own life and resolving certain issues in it. We'll see.
For the record, the "m" on my laptop is not working properly and so I am getting rather pissed. It's way annoying. As are Japanese beetles (or is it beatles). I hate them. (I accidentally typed "I hat them".) They have found my Rose of Sharon bushes which haven't even bloomed and are barely budding and I want to lop all the damn bugs heads off! They aren't happy enough with leaves that they have now turned to my New Guinea Impatients (don't know how to spell those either). Yesterday while I laid out on the deck they flew around without a care of running into my forehead or chin. (That isn't funny!) I would just simply be lying there, bee bopping to my new toy, eyes closed and WHAM! Right in the forehead! Of course, I would then jump about a foot straight into the air and curse loudly - scaring the dogs and upsetting the neighbors I'm sure. But sheeeit I HATE JAPANESE BEETLES!!! (and yes, I've treated the plants with bug-b-gone and the stupid bugs just lick it off like it's ice cream. Bastards!) If anyone has any suggestions, please leave it in my comment box. Unless it's something crazy about god's creatures. Then you can leave your comments to yourself.

Don't you just love your mp3 player? I am really enjoying mine. Also, I thought The Notebook was a good book. I read it a couple of summers ago. There are a couple more of his books I want to read. I hope things went well at school. Hopefully Stan has taken a chill pill. Jeeeez!
