Safe & Sound

Jim's home, safe and sound. All went well with his travels and he touched down a bit early (around 8:30) and was home by 10:00. The boys are very happy.

One bad thing about his trip was there was an attempted fraudulent charge on my credit card. Ugh! I got notification via text while waiting for Jim to come home. I verified that it was fraud and then called 5/3. If you've ever had to do this, you know that the customer service person will go through the last 5 or 6 charges to see which ones are valid and which ones are not. So she's going through them...Amazon (valid), Amazon (valid), Waymo (Jim used Waymo the self-driving cars while in San Fran to get here and there), Waymo, Waymo, and then the chick says, "I have to ask...what do you think about these cars!? I've always wondered but would be so scared to take one." I told her that it was my husband in SF and that he loves them and has never had an issue. Anyway, only the last attempt was fraud but it was enough that my card had to be cancelled and another is being sent. So inconvenient but such is life.

I think the boys were so over Jim being gone. Up until yesterday they seemed fine but by last night they were blue, like there was just something missing. When I finally heard Jim's car pulling up, the boys were in bed with me and I just whispered, "Daddy's home." They popped up and ran to the window! As per usual, they stood on the end of the bed watching him park and get out of the car. They were wagging their tails and whining, which Jimmy could hear and called up, "HI BOYS!!!" That was all they needed to jump down and finally enjoy some love and kisses.

The weekend was good...very chill. I haven't left my house (by car) since coming home from PIB. I know...I'm lazy but who cares? I did walk each day and lay out and hang with the neighbors but mostly I just enjoyed the solitude. It was quite lovely.

Today will be full of typical Monday stuff. I'll walk the boys here after I finish this then come home to get back to some yoga. I need to make a menu and go to Aldi. I'll most likely have to go to Kroger as well, which I'm not happy about...I hate Kroger and from there, who knows. This also means I don't know what I'm making for dinner tonight. I'm thinking cubed steak but maybe something on the grill. We'll see what Jim wants.

Speaking of which, he's not up yet. He wasn't ready to sleep when he got home so was up pretty late or rather was in his chair pretty late. I'll get him up when I finish with this.

My spa will FINALLY be fixed today. Or that's the plan. I wouldn't be surprised if he finds something else when he goes to replace the 3rd jet pump because that seems to be the norm. The window is 12-2. I wouldn't expect it will take too long but I'm excited to finally have my swim jets to use again. I've still be using the spa and swimming but I've had to do it without use of the swim jets. Please let this be the last thing for a while!

Okay, that's about all I've got. Time to get Jim going as well as myself. Happy Monday!!! It's going to be a lovely, cool week. Later!
