Called Out

I was just sitting here, crushing some candy, looking at the beautiful bay with a breeze that's slightly chilly and the sun streaming in the window thinking, I wish Trip and Anne were up here to enjoy this lovely morning with Maggie and me. And then I got a text from Trip saying, "I thought you were going to post while you were up there!" So maybe just Anne and Cullen. HAHA! Just kidding. Totally wish we were all up here enjoying some sibling time. Soon. 

So yes, I apologize for not posting sooner. I totally forgot and will blame this one on Maggie (since Kristyn is in Australia)...she should have reminded me. 

I arrived yesterday and was in line to catch the noon ferry (although because it was a Sunday, they were running ferries every 20 minutes or so) with Maggie a couple cars behind me. After we unpacked we headed to the pool. It was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky. We stayed for a couple hours and came home to do a bit of dinner prep, enjoy a cocktail, eat and then watch a movie (which Maggie fell asleep to). We were in bed by 9:00. 

Oh, and Mom was having some interesting "experiences" last night. She kept calling Maggie because apparently I'd been in bed with her but suddenly went missing and according to mom, all her doors were locked and she doesn't know how I managed to leave. I talked to her and reassured her that Maggie and I were in PIB and she most likely was dreaming. She eventually let it go and went to bed. But then, of course, she started calling Maggie around 4:00 this morning having no idea what time it actually was, asking about when the cleaners were coming. Maggie told here they'd be there this morning but as it was not even 5 AM yet, it might be a while. She said, "Mom, look outside. It's still dark." Mom was all like, "Oh, okay." And then, "So how are you?" Obviously it didn't connect that the sun wasn't up and she shouldn't be either. 

I did manage to go back to sleep for a bit but Maggie didn't. Eventually I go up around 6:00, worked out...Maggie walked Birdie and now here we are, sitting on the couch thinking about our plans for the day. After I finish this, I'll rinse off and then it will be about time to go to the pool. We'll stay there for a bit and then come home, most likely to take a little kitty cat nap. I think tonight we might go to the Crew's Nest for a cocktail and maybe just have dinner while there (or maybe just apps depending on how hungry we are).  

And that's about all I've got to share. I'll try not to forget to post tomorrow first thing...as long as Maggie remembers to remind me. Happy Monday! Later!
