That's "Thank God it's my Friday"! I'm telling you, I don't know how I'm going to make it for the next month at school. And then I think about the next 12 years and how the hell is that ever going to happen? Ugh! I really need the teacher retirement system to pass their proposal where I can retire at 60. I think - THINK - I can do that but that's still a crapshoot. Ugh! Calgon take me away!
Guess what Jim's doing right now? Talking to me. Why is he talking to me!? He's rambling on about the number 8 all of a sudden showing up everywhere for him. He pulled into the lot at work at 8:00; he was given the #8 badge for the building. When he went to take the elevator the floor he was working on, it was sitting on the 8th floor. Aaron Rodgers is going to be number 8 on the Jets; there were other things he rattled off but I stopped listening. Until, he said, "And Muir!? Guess what number in the alphabet 'H' is!" Of course I answered, "SEVEN!" Why does he talk to me?So Jim finished painting the walls that are the lighter color in the living/dining room and hallway last night. Of course as I was laying in bed and he was painting just outside the doorway in the hallway, he dropped his bucket of paint all over the carpet! Of course he hadn't laid down drop cloths because, well, he's stupid. That put a kink in things for both of us. He immediately got it up but then we had to soak the carpet with water and suck it up with the shop vac. It's always something with him. Ugh. Oh, and I picked the color for the accent wall in the living/dining room. It's just a nice, soft slightly darker brown than the other walls. A nice subtle accent. I'll be happy to get rid of that red. And, I told Jim I want the kitchen painted the same color as the rest of the house (camel is what the color is called). Hopefully that will happen in the next 5 years. I mean, that's sort of how Jim rolls.
I made taco burgers last night and they were so good. Dinner tonight: I'll either do fish and chips with cole slaw or buffalo flatbread pizza with a salad. Both are easy meals so we'll see.
Don't forget that I'm off tomorrow so I'll be posting a bit later than usual so don't throw me any grief. I also have to take Boo to the vet in the morning at 9:20. That means that I have to drug my baby up tonight which I hate. But if it means that he's a little less anxious, it's fine.
Okay well, time to get to school. I was supposed to meet with the parent this morning that cancelled with me yesterday for her sons IEP but she sent another email saying she's not feeling it. What a pain in my ass. Thankfully this IEP can be pushed off since it isn't up for review until September. Why is everyone a pain in my ass lately!?
Happy Thursday! Later!
