Self-Reflection

I don't know what's going on in my district but it certainly seems like the administrators need to look in the mirror and do a little self-reflection. Yesterday, an email went out to the entire district internally posting 8, EIGHT! E-I-G-H-T!!! positions in ONE SCHOOL. These positions were all teaching positions (four 5th grade teachers, three 6th grade teachers, and an intervention specialist) in the intermediate school, a place that has historically been a bit of a shit storm school. I later heard from a friend that prior to spring break, one of the intervention specialists there packed up all her shit, didn't say goodbye or tell anyone she was leaving and then just never came back after spring break. That's some crazy shit! I mean, there's no other reason for something like this other than the administration being awful. I've heard shit about the principal in this building but lately I've been hearing a LOT of shit about things the central office administrators have been pulling which makes all this NOT surprising. In education? It's always something.

Jim keeps talking to me and I don't know why! He's watching TV and a commercial for the special for Carol Burnett came on and he started with, "Wow! She's that old?" And then he said, "That's like Dick Van Dyke time." And then, "Or Norman Lear." He continues, "Who created All in the Family, right?" By the way, I haven't responded to any of this. He then started asking Alexa questions: "Alexa?! Who created All in the Family?" (Norman Lear) "Alexa? How old is Norman Lear?" (100). Then, "Alexa? How old is Dick Van Dyke?" (97). I mean, why? He knows I'm typing this and ignoring him. Jaysus!

Today is going to be beautiful after school which means a bike ride for me. This is good because as it's a Wednesday, if the weather hadn't been good, I'd be getting on the elliptical. That would've been bad because tomorrow is a late night at school and that means I won't be able to do my normal after school routine so I'm getting on the elliptical before school tomorrow to get some cardio in. If I'd gotten on the elliptical twice in such a short period of time, I'd struggle. My feet sometimes can't take that. Anyway - I'm excited for a bike ride after school.

Dinner tonight: I'll do a cobb salad type thing. Something easy.

Tomorrow Scout has his follow up and annual vet visit which means we need to drug him tonight so he's not a maniac and can have his nails cut. I hate having to drug him like this but it's for his own good. Jim will take Scout to the vet and he's thinking about just taking the day off and going in on Saturday instead. We'll see. I told him, "You do you...I ain't mad you!"

And Jim just asked Alexa, "Alexa how much is Fox worth?" ($787.5 million less than they had been a day ago.) I so wish that had gone to trial but you know Fox wasn't going to allow that because then their listeners would have heard ALL the lies they'd been spewing. Of course their watchers don't care about the truth.

K - best mosey. Last day of teaching for the week as testing starts tomorrow. Happy Wednesday! Later!
