Another Post About Leaves!

Who knew mowing and mulching leaves could cause such soreness! Granted, I had to do two laps in the back yard to mulch the thick blanket but really it was just a power walk which I do every day so why am I so sore? Needless to say, I'm psyched to have the leaves, for the most part, DONE! With the rain today and a few leaves still on a few trees, I expect I'll make one more pass on the front and back. No big deal though...it should be pretty simple.

This morning, because I kicked such ass yesterday and knew I'd need it, I slept in. I got up at 5:00 and it felt wonderful. I got a solid 8 hours of sleep! I'll work out later today after school.

Also because of how long it took me to complete the leaves, I ended up not cooking dinner and we had leftovers instead. Which means I'll cook what I was going to cook last night, tonight (Salisbury steak etc.).

Jim's throwing me a bone today after work and going to Costco. He's such a good boy! Hopefully when he goes it won't be such a shit show and he'll get in and out rather quickly. We need a lot of staples, however, and knowing Jim he'll dawdle but at least I won't have to go.

Next week when I'm off, I will go to Aldi myself. I love going to Aldi so this isn't a sacrifice for me. I love to find things there that I can't live without and the savings you get! Cha-ching!

I got an email from a parent asking me to HELP HELP HELP her son write an essay for a scholarship or some such shit for college. And it's not that I don't want to help but this kid is never in my 1st period class because he's got chronic migraines. And I'm sure that the essay is probably due tomorrow or some such bullshit. Why don't you help him? I mean, you took the time to write me an email...sit down and help your son write an essay! Annoying. This is why I hate having seniors on my caseload. The mad rush to meet deadlines which parents then press on me makes me want to just sit back and laugh and say, I graduated high school (barely), figure it out yourself! But of course I never do that. Maybe the year I retire!

K - time to get a move on...cuddle with the dogs a bit and then head out. Later!
