My Friday

A nice quick week at work...that's the way I like it. And considering how much I have to do to get ready for the Egbert's arrival...I need a Friday off. More on that in a minute.

Today at work should be fairly easy, however, my emo kid (part timer...did I give him a name?) is coming in today to take his state test for Algebra and I fear it's going to send him into a bit of a tizzy. He was supposed to take it yesterday but with things going on at home, mom's health etc., they postponed it. In fact, he didn't even make it in yesterday so I don't have very high hopes for him today. UGH! Well, at least it will only be about two hours of his/my day.

Today when I get home I have LOTS to do. Mostly it's about cleaning but I also need to bathe the dogs. I'd like Jim to go to the grocery on his way home to help me out (which I'm sure he'll do). Plus I want to exercise AND cook dinner. I'll be able to do some cleaning tomorrow morning too before the Egberts get here so that's good.

What else? Oh, the plans for the weekend. Well, like I said the Egberts should be here tomorrow around lunch time so we'll go out for lunch. Jim is actually taking off tomorrow because he has another scan but he'll be done in time to go with us. I'm not sure what we'll do on Friday night for dinner - maybe take out, maybe out...who knows. Saturday looks nasty (rain) so we'll see what happens. Trip said JJ has a game on Saturday but I need to do some cooking so Maggie and I might stay home while the boys and Eva go watch. We'll see how that pans out with the weather. Regardless, Saturday evening I will have Trip, Susan, JJ, Anne, Steve and Max (?) over for some hanging out and dinner. I'm making: pulled pork, pulled chicken, cole slaw, cornbread and green beans. Easy and I can make most of it ahead of time.

The dogs decided to get all jacked up last night at 3 AM. Not sure if there was something outside grabbing their attention but they kept hopping up and down on the bed, looking out the window and whining like little assholes. Then when I finally got up, Scout kept barking outside! Bad dog!

My buttocks hurt! I don't know why...I guess from my recumbent riding yesterday but I "ride" it at least twice a week so why does it hurt now? Weird!

Okay - well, I best get a move on. I'll try to remember to post tomorrow. Happy Thursday! Later!
