Testing is over! Thank GOD! Did I get a lot done...meh...kind of but not really. Mostly I got a lot done for a class I'll be teaching in two years. I did a little work for my Bio class next year and I did a lot of work organizing my Pinterest account. I did a little shopping. I got a new vegetable peeler that also juliennes - it's awesome but SHARP as hell; I got some herb scissors and a microplaner. I bought some much needed pants, mostly for school and that's about it. I got some of my amendments done for kids going to the career center next year but then found out that one of them didn't get in so now things are up in the air.
The rest of the week is going to be "normal". I put that in quotes because although we're on a normal schedule, we've got a college fair going which will disrupt classes as kids come and go to that between 9 and 11. Not that I care about that...have at it...it's just not quite a "normal" day. And thankfully Friday is in eyesight.
So last night I was getting dinner ready - grilling my pork tenderloin and I noticed that my next door neighbors were hanging out doing something just over the fence in the back. A place where they never go and she was wearing a weird outfit. And of course that attracted the dogs who wanted to go out and whine and bark. I told Jim to go check it out. Turns out my neighbor has a new hobby: Bee keeping. He purchased a bunch of bees and a hive and yesterday they were establishing the hive. Pretty cool! He won't get honey this year but next year he will. And how funny is it that I'm currently reading The Secret Life of Bees to my LA classes?!
I swear, if the traffic reporter on Channel 5 doesn't come up with a different word than "cognizant" I'm going to go through the TV. That and "contra lane"...annoying.
Okay - need to get a move on...gotta make copies. Happy Thursday! Later!
