Another Weekend In The Books

The weekend flew by and I hate that it's over already. Being this close to the end of the school year makes the weeks go slowly and the weekends fly by. Weather this weekend blew chunks! I mean, it's almost May and I had to turn on the heat. That's just stupid. Not to mention the rain we got was annoying. And this week's weather has rain forecasted every single day. My yard is never going to get fixed.

What did I do this weekend? Well, Jim worked on Saturday which meant that I did all the cleaning, grocery shopping and what not, on my own. No big deal. Jim's usually such a help in that department that I don't mind. Plus he was working...not like he was out having a good time and it was overtime. Additionally, sometimes what should take me an hour takes Jim two so everything got done in a reasonable amount of time. When Jim got home, I took him to Shooters and then for dinner we went to Eddie Merlots. Yummy! Yesterday was just a lot of hanging at home...I read my book and Jim rearranged things in the garage like he likes to do. Pointless. Dinner was pork chops and I was in bed at my regular time.

Speaking of which, I tossed and turned, pretty much from 1:00 until the alarm went off. That should make for a fun day. UGH! Oh well.

Want to know something that pisses me off? People who want to ruin things for other people. I get up early to be at work people and so I can't watch Game of Thrones when it airs normally. This means that I don't want my experience ruined by a bunch of jerks who feel the need to make stupid little comments on Facebook. And I can't look at People or Us websites for fear of seeing something I don't want to see. I know it was a "death fest" which was bound to be the case. I'll have to race home today and watch before everything gets ruined.

I cut the shit out of my pinky finger. I mentioned that during testing week I did a bit of shopping. One item I purchased was a new microplaner. Well, I finally got to use it yesterday to zest a lemon and that bitch is SHARP! I microplaned quite a large chunk of skin off my pinky and it won't stop bleeding...since last night. And it hurts like a mother! The perils of cooking!

Not much exciting is happening at school this week. That's good. And I really don't have much else to talk about. I'm going to be a little late getting to school today but I emailed my principal to let him know. I'll only be a few minutes late but best to let the powers that be know then get called out. I'll certainly be there before 1st bell but later than my contract states.

Okay well, best figure out what to wear today. Happy Monday. I sure hope this week flies by. Tomorrow should as I have a half day. Oh, did I mention that? Jim's scan results came in and I didn't like the look of a couple lesions that have twice gotten larger so I want to make sure I'm at his appointment tomorrow, which is why I took a half day. All of his other spots have either gotten slightly smaller or stayed the same. It's just these two dick spots that are causing problems. I'm guessing the doc will want to adjust Jim's meds which is always a scary thing. I'm hoping he adjust dose rather than frequency. We'll see.  I'll let you know Wednesday.
