Some people get irritated when they get a 2-hour delay AFTER they've already showered. Not me because now I get to sit in front of the TV and drink coffee and hang until I need to finish getting ready and leave. I thought about waiting a little before jumping in the shower assuming the call would come because I could get my workout in BEFORE school but then I thought, nah! I'd rather just do that after school. And no, we won't close because the sleet that we got is already turning to rain so by 8:00ish when I need to leave, thing should just be sloppy wet rather than icy.
I did a workout yesterday that nearly killed me. It was technically a yoga workout but was focused mainly on working the arms. I think I must have done about 50 push ups and triceps lifts. Ugh...chick was crazy. I managed to get through it though so that's good. I think today I'll lay off the arms and just work my abs, butt and legs.
Tomorrow is a long day for me which blows. I'll be at work from about 7:00 to 8:00. It's a combo of parent/teacher conferences and academic fair. Thankfully, Jim will be on 2nd shift for at least the rest of this week and into next so the boys won't be caged for too long. Another good thing is that this time my long day is on a Thursday. In October it was on a Wednesday which sucked. I could come home but that would be stupid so I'll stay at work and get some shit done. They plan on feeding us but I don't want to eat what they're serving and "dinner" will be at 2:45. Thanks but no thanks.
Have I mentioned how sick of rain I am? We're getting another couple inches today and then they're saying that Friday is going to be another heavy rain day. So sick of this shit and I can't imagine what the people in flood zones are dealing with. I just hope that all this rain isn't a sign of what's to come in Spring/Summer.
I was looking at some Lake Erie/Great Lake news yesterday and they're saying the Great Lakes are most likely going to have record highs this year, especially Lake Erie. This is not good news for the Ferry's running. All depends on the winds though.
Okay well, now that breakfast is over, it's time for me to sit in front of the TV and sip my coffee. Happy Wednesday...stay dry. Later!
