Enjoying Columbus

Sorry I haven't posted but I've been busy...being a momma to Maggie's baby!  Hee hee.  Actually, I've (we've) been busy, busy, busy making cookies.  We've made one batch of French cakes (we'll do one more), peanut blossoms (the ones with the Hershey's kisses), Mexican wedding cookies, thumbprints with raspberry jam (sorry Diane - I'll make some more for you, special), Laura Bush Cowboy cookies and two batches of cinnamon chip scones.  YUM!  We only have the French cakes left so that's pretty awesome.

Today we'll also make some baby food (peas) using the baby food maker I bought Maggie for her birthday.  Eva is VERY excited.  She likes her carrots and sweet potatoes but she doesn't want to turn orange.  In addition, we'll head to the Indian grocery store for some ingredients for a chicken curry and dumpling dish Maggie wants to try (YUM!!!) and Bed, Bath and Beyond (I need to look at curtains and get another box of K cups).

The past two nights, Charlie has treated us to deeeelicious dinners.  Saturday we went to On the Border - a Mexican chain that we don't have in Cincy...yummy fajitas.  Last night we went to Third and Hollywood - it's in Grandview and very trendy and eclectic with all organic food.  It was scrumptious!!!  Tonight, like I said, we'll eat at home.

Eva, if you're wondering, is superb!  She is such a love!  The day I got here, she was down for a nap and when she woke up and saw me she cried.  It was kind of hilarious (only because she didn't do it again) but has since been full of smiles and cuddles.  She's been very willing to come to me and though she, of course, prefers to be with her momma, she will allow me to hold and play with her.  When she's tired and cranky, however, no one does it for her except Maggie.  It's actually pretty sweet.
Here's a video that I'm hoping will load (sorry its so dark but the light on my Blackberry blinded thhe poor girl).  It's of Eva with her new pig from her Nana!  It's very sweet and she loves it.  Funnily enough, she and the pig are wearing a matching outfit.

And that's about it.  Maggie's yelling at me to get in the shower so I better hop to!  I'll head home tomorrow and chat at you all then.  Later!
