How NOT To Act

So I was watching the documentary series on Oprah yesterday about Lindsay Lohan...not that I'm some huge fan but hot messes intrigue me and I do want her to "make it" in her sobriety.  Anyway - let me just tell you this is a girl (I say girl because she doesn't act grown up enough to be called a woman) who is the epitome of how NOT to behave.  She needs a come-to-Jesus moment with reality. She needs to live about 12 months completely on her own with NO ONE at her beck and call.  This chick is a disaster, a tool and has no sense of how to treat people.  UGH!  Of course I'll keep watching but I don't see a lot in the way of "hope" for her.

In other news - I have a 7:15 meeting this morning that I totally forgot about. Really didn't want to step into the office today since I'm wearing my Reds paraphernalia.  I thought about NOT wearing jeans but then I said, "F&%K it!" I'm showing support and enthusiasm for my team.

My cold is driving me nuts.  It's kid of moved into my chest and my throat is killing me.  Eva and I are still in a fight!

Maggie is watching Maizy this week while Anne and the kids are on a cruise.  Apparently there was a LOT of running, chasing and playing outside yesterday.  Oh and then there was a bath for both of them since they decided to go traipsing through many a mud puddle.  Bad dogs.  Here they are clean and exhausted.  Cute! (BTW - I would be taking some shears to Maizy's coat as her hair is WAY too long!)

Okay so like I said, I have a meeting and also have nothing ready for LA so I better get a move on.  GO REDS!!!  Can't wait for the game.  Later!

I Love My Kindle

So I just finished my first "Latest Listen" book on my Kindle. (I also updated my book blog). I can't tell you how nice it is to go to my Kindle, search through books I want to read, find them available at the library and download it, all in the comfort of my recliner.  How have I gone this long without this convenience?  I'm also reading a book on my Kindle (another J.D. Robb) and that is so nice too.  To sit in bed with the lights off, so as not to disturb Jimmy, and read...love it. Don't get me wrong, I still love the feel of a book in my hands, turning the pages (I'm currently reading the Book Thief as well), being able to flip back through pages but having both options is nice.  And of course I wouldn't take my Kindle in the bathtub...bad idea.

Okay so I can't believe it's already 11:30 and I have to WORK tomorrow.  I call bullshit!  I'm so not ready.  However, I've had breakfast, walked Sami and dinner is all but together since we're just having pork chops tonight (they've been marinating for a couple days). In a bit, I'll take a bath and then chill out.  I'm not feeling great with this cold so I just want to take it easy today. Not much to do to get ready for tomorrow...I think I'll wear jeans and my Reds jersey...gotta show my support!

Opening day is tomorrow!  Woot!  I loves me some baseball.  My favorite sport, hands down.  Wish I were going to the game but alas, at least it's at 4:10 and I can watch from my couch.  I have a dentist's appointment right after school tomorrow and I'm sure I'll be home in time for the first pitch. Can't wait.

And that's about all I've got.  Best motor...up to my tub.  Later!

Spring Break From The Blog

I guess I was taking a bit of a break from blogging, huh?  I doubt anyone really missed me as I usually don't have much to say.  I'm sure you've missed seeing sweet Eva though so I'll treat you all there.

So what have I been doing?  Well lets see.  Monday I drove to C-bus.  Maggie, Eva and I went out shopping to Old Navy and Yankee Candle.  Eva was feeling a bit puny (a cold) so after lunch at the Rusty Bucket, we headed home and we all napped.  That night we headed to the Local Cantina - a hole in the wall Mexican place that was DELICIOUS!  The margaritas were YUMMY and STRONG...just how I like them.

Tuesday - Maggie, Eva and I went out to lunch and then headed home for a bit of hanging out.  We had dinner at home and watched Frozen 1 or 2 (or 7) times.  "Do you want to build a snowman?"  I've been singing that for about 5 days...it's driving Jimmy crazy but I love it.  I need to buy the movie...so good!

Wednesday, we got up, got ready and headed to Cincy.  It was a beautiful day but COLD.  We went to Shooter's for lunch and then headed home for some naps.  Maggie was feeling puny at this point as she caught Eva's cold.  Lucky me, I had hadn't caught it.  I made chicken burgers that night for dinner and we once again watched Frozen.

Thursday - Maggie was NOT feeling well so we hung out at home and napped until it was time to go to dinner for Anne's birthday at Mellow Mushroom.  Really, really good pizza but Maggie and I both agreed it isn't as good as Dewey's.

Friday - Maggie and Eva headed home at around 10:00 and I missed them immediately.  Eva is such a good girl...so easy and entertaining.  Once they left, I walked Sami, headed to the grocery and then came home to relax and catch up on my shows.

Plans for the weekend:  We'll see how the rest of the weekend goes as A) Eva and I are in a fight because I woke up with her cold...she's a debil!  B) It's NASTY outside.  Sami is pissed because she wants to walk and with the downpour happening (and expected all day) it isn't likely to happen.  We may head to Shooters (shocking I know) but other than that, we'll just be chillin' at home.  I'm not looking forward to going back to work but we have 9 weeks left so I think I can make it through.

Okay - well since it's raining giant dogs and cats (wolves and lions?) I think I'll get on the recumbent bike.  Later!

Spring Break Plans

I've actually slept until 7:00 the past two days, which just goes to show how much this time of year wears me out. I am so ready for this Spring Break...I can't even tell you.  One more quarter to go!

So, what are my plans this week?  Well, Jim and I did our normal Saturday thing yesterday...Shooters.  Today we'll do some cleaning, I'll bathe Bubs and hang at home.  It's going to be COLD so today may be the last fire of the season.  It'll empty our log carrier so that's sort of perfect.  I'll also pack because tomorrow I'm headed to Columbus.  I'll stay until Wednesday and then Maggie and Eva are coming here.  We'll do some shopping in Columbus and when Maggie comes here we'll go out for dinner with Anne for her birthday.  Other than that - I don't have many plans.  Sounds boring, I know but I've got no problems with that.

Oh, I made some paleo, chocolate chip cookies yesterday using the almond flour I had made.  Really very good, I have to say.  They look weird but taste delicious.  It uses agave for sweetener which I know is not good but I'll use that up and not get again.  Agave actually has more calories than white sugar and the high fructose makes it BAD BAD BAD for you.  Oh well, live and learn...not all things "natural" are good.  Anyway - my cookies are yummy!  I'm glad I was able to find good recipes for the almond flour that I've made.

Okay - well, I think it's mimosa time.  And breakfast.  Later!

Let It Go!!!

Eva really loves her some Frozen...especially when Elsa sings "Let It Go".

In school news - IT'S FRIDAY!!!  And the last day before Spring Break!!!  Woot Woot!  I'm so happy!  And it's going to get up to near 70° today!  I think I might need to break out the flip flops, although my toes aren't quite ready for that.  Oh well, I'll just tell people not to look at them!

In Reds news:  The docs say Aroldis Chapman should make a full recovery.  He had no brain injury, no injury to his eye and they even think he could be ready to pitch again by mid-May.  They had to insert a metal plate behind his eye in surgery though.  Yowza is that guy lucky!

In other news - I've got nothing.  I grocery shopped yesterday after school.  That way I can get off work today - walk Sami and crack open a beer.  YAY!

Okay well, I'm boring...later!

Good (I mean bad) Dog!

Funny video - thanks Lisa. (The music is the best.)

Hold on - Jim's telling me a story...this may take a while.

Still telling the story.

Nearly done...uh oh, maybe not, he just said, "Then the next day..."

Oh, man - just read about Aroldis Chapman getting hit by a line drive in a game yesterday.  Fractured eye and nose apparently but didn't lose consciousness.  UGH!

And I really have nothing else.  I'm very much looking forward to my week off.  I'm so sick of kids right now...well, really only one.  He's a junior who was at the career center all year until about a month or so ago.  Normally he makes it to school about once a week but lately he's been showing, I think, because of a girl.  Of course he does NO work and has a 9% in my class and is failing all his other classes too.  He's 18 and originally said he planned on dropping out but has yet to do it. Wish he would get a move on because he is a waste of space and time.

K - now I'm done bitching.  Later!

Vet & Pharmacy Woes!

Is this not an amazing shot of Lake Erie?!  This is just off Marblehead - at the lighthouse.  I'm just flabbergasted at this.  When I showed Jim, he said, "Oh, I bet the dock got effed up this year."  Probably not too bad as it's located in the bay and waves won't push the ice up too badly.  They definitely had a good winter this year!  Would love to experience a winter up there...just once.  I'd have to be well stocked in alcohol though, that's for sure!

In school news - nothing too exciting going on.  We have a meeting today during early release about teacher evaluations.  I hate these meetings because A) they are BORING and B) no one seems to have any real idea about what our evaluations are going to look like in 2015 and so this is all really just speculation. Ohio's legislators have really effed this system up!

Had a total fiasco with Bubba's meds yesterday.  First the meds weren't ready when I called to see if they were ready (even though I called in for a refill a week ago).  Apparently one of the meds didn't have refills and they were waiting for the vet to call them back.  Not sure why this keeps happening and why one cyclosporine had 3 refills but the other cyclosporine had none (I have to give Bubba 75mg and they don't come that large so I give a 50mg and a 25mg). I called the vet - told of my dilemma and asked/demanded they call the pharmacy.  Before leaving for Costco I called the vet again to ensure this had happened.  They were apparently on the phone with the pharmacy at that moment (two hours after I asked them to call). Then I get to Costco and AWESOME!  The vet called in 50mg of cyclosporine which they had already filled...it was the 25mg that needed to be called in.  So!  I had to wait 20 minutes for that to be done.  AND THEN!?  I look when I get home and see!  AWESOME!  They didn't put refills on the 25mg again.  Jim will be calling the vet today to take care of that. I've just about had it with my vet!  GET IT TOGETHER LADIES!

Okay - well, I best mosey.  Need to finish getting ready and head out.  YAY for short classes today!  Later!

I'm Such A Baby

Why do my friends make me cry in the morning?!  My good friend, Savannah Guthrie, you know from the Today show? She announced she was pregnant and of course I watched the video this morning and it made me weepy.  Why do I cry at the drop of a hat?  Such a loser I am.

In other news - we had a weird lockdown yesterday, during lunch.  Completely unannounced.  Apparently they wanted to see how things would go in an emergency situation during lunch.  They needed to see where problem areas were.  I have to say, lockdowns like this are so unrealistic.  And let me tell you too, given an emergency situation (shooter etc.) you know I'm not sitting under my desk.  Nope, my ass is out the window and running - either for my car with as many kids in tow or straight to the fire station.

Lets see...Walking Dead was a doozie this weekend.  Love that show.  Love the zombie apocalypse (it's going to happen people...I hope you're ready!).  I don't think I'd survive very long although the zombies aren't runners and I think I could outrun them...at least for a little while.

Have I mentioned lately how ready I am for Spring Break?  My autistic kids are driving me nuts.  I've got one that asks me every 5 seconds if  he can do this or do that or he tells me he's going to do this or write that (I almost wrote every 5 minutes but it happens much more frequently than that) things he's supposed to be doing.  I want to yell sometimes, "JUST DO WHAT I JUST ASKED YOU TO DO AND QUIT TELLING ME WHAT YOU'RE DOING EVERY 5 SECONDS!!!"  But I don't.  Then I have another autistic kid who smacks kids upside the head for no apparent reason.  Except that she has a crush on her poor victim I think.  This is the girl, by the way that ate $60 worth of cafeteria food in the space of less than a month.  And finally I've got "The Mumbler".  This spaz huffs and puffs and talks under his breath from across the room - thinking, I guess, that I'm listening to his crazy rants.  He's the biggest autistic annoyance in my life.  UGH!  Thank God a whole week off is in my near future.

Okay, well, I best get ready to face another day...living the dream.  Happy Tuesday!  Later!

My Thanks To Mother Nature!

We got NO snow here at the Hanke household - thank you Jesus!  They did say that it was going to be mostly south of the city and I'm so happy they were on the money there.  This means that we will most likely get through the rest of this year without another snow day, which means no make up days at the end of the year! (Knock on wood...there, of course, COULD be snow in April but I'm going to keep a positive outlook and say DONE!) Woot Woot!!!

In weekend news: Lets see...what did we do?  Well, Saturday Jim and I cleaned, played some games, went to Shooter's and just relaxed.  Yesterday was much of the same without the Shooter's.  I got a ton of laundry done, yesterday.  Made my breakfast quiche along with some blueberry oatmeal cookies for our lunches and cuddled with my babies.  I walked Sami both days and BONUS!  Figured out how to download audiobooks from the library onto my Kindle.  I now never need to go to the library again.  I can listen to my books in the car on my Kindle and when I walk.  YIPPEE!!!

This week should be relatively relaxed. We're finishing up Catching Fire today and I may do a fun chapter in history so that we don't have to start a regular chapter and then have Spring Break when they'll forget everything before I have a chance to test.  Hmm...what to do, what to do.  Maybe something Cold War related.  I'll have to think this through.

Heading to Columbus in a week for a couple of Eva-fun filled days!  Can't wait.  Other than that, I've got nothing.

K - best get going so I can figure out my day.  Later!

What?! & EW!!!

Watching the news this morning my friend Larry (who is about to lose a friend) said that Sunday into Monday we're going to get nearly 3 inches of snow.  WHAT!?  Um, Larry, I'm going to need you to change your weather report because that is just NOT okay with me!  Now, he did say that the snow will accumulate on the grassy areas but I do NOT want a snow day so Larry?!  You better not mess this up.

Something else that isn't okay with me?  School serving sushi.  I like sushi but not sure I'm going to try it from school.  Not that I ever eat anything from school but I don't think I'm going to start with sushi.  EW!

And today is the final day of OGTs and I have to say I'm HAPPY!  I'm about bored out of my skull at this point. I've gotten a bunch of shit done including the majority of an IEP and half a semester planned for my Government class next year and lots of Kindle surfing but my ass hurts from sitting on it!

So after school today I'll head to the grocery (loving my new grocery list app on my Kindle) so that I won't have to go Saturday.  This of course is depending on poor Bubba.  He's having pooping issues again.  He's already been down to poop 4 times.  I tried to give him a tiny bit of pumpkin but he wasn't into it.  I'll have Jim text/email me when he leaves to let me know how he does.  I just don't want to leave him hanging too long this afternoon.  Poor Bubba.

K - well I best get going.  Ooh, and I forgot the PTO is feeding us today...Pie day.  Chicken pot, shepherds, taco, peach, cherry, pumpkin and something else I can't remember.  YAY!  Later!

Kindle Fire HDX

So, I had a hair up my arse yesterday and decided to buy a Kindle.  I've been wanting a tablet for a long time but as we all know, it takes me a little while to catch up with the rest of the world and even then I'm always a few paces behind (still using a Blackberry).  Anyway - I'd been researching different products and the best thing I had found (aside from the iPad and that's too expensive and more than I need) was the Kindle.  So after finding a fairly good deal yesterday I went to Best Buy to get it. Interestingly, I ended up with a less expensive model than I had planned because the gigs available with the cheaper one will be plenty for me. Not to mention, you can download books and keep them in Amazon cloud which takes up no space on my device and download them when I need/want them. Pretty cool.  I got the device with 16 GB. The Kindle paperwhite only has 2 GB and they say you can store up to 1100 books on it.  YOWZA.  Of course, I'm not just doing books on my Kindle but whatever...I won't be watching movies on it.  Oh, and I got the 7 inch...I liked the maneuverability with it better than the 9 inch...not that I was even considering that size.

What have I done so far? Well, I did go onto the library and download a book from there.  I really just wanted to see how easy/hard it was.  EASY!  So exciting!  I've also gotten some of the games I like on it.  I've created/gotten apps for my usual sites (Facebook, Pinterest, CNN, and some other news sites).  Today, I'm sure I'll get nothing done and just play, play, play.  I'm definitely loving it so far!

And in other news - I've got nothing.  It's cold as shit here and I can't believe we're back in the teens.  I predict this will be the last Arctic blast we get.  Fingers crossed.  I couldn't even walk Sami farther than the end of my street because the wind was whipping so much.  Brr!  Tomorrow near 60 again!

Okay well, I best head out...I want to get to school so I can start playing!  Woot! Later

The World Is An Interesting Place

First of all, I'll start with Eva at her first trek to the zoo this year.  I wish I had been there!

On the train - CHOO CHOO!!!

And now for the most interesting thing I've heard of in a long time.  This is the Robert Mapplethorpe Children's Museum that opened last year in Queens.  I'm all for teaching children that the human body is normal but do I really want my kids climbing on a penis?  Hmm...I'm just not sure.  And by the way - I'm guessing this isn't real considering it was in the Onion...who knows though.

And things at school are humdrum.  I'm getting lots done preparing for next year.  I should probably figure out what I'm going to do for the rest of the year in LA but I just can't decide.  Shakespeare?  Another novel?  It's a pickle.  We'll see.

Okay well, it's raining and yucky here today and by the time I head home, it will be in the 30s.  Oh well...at least we're on an upswing toward Spring.
K - later!

Nothing To Talk About

I've got nothing to talk about.

OGTs were fine yesterday.  Got a good amount of stuff done and am hoping to get most of an IEP complete for early April.  Other than that - nothing.

Kind of pissed about the upcoming cold temps.  I'm ready for spring and even have flip flops on today...I hate going backwards.  UGH!

And that's about all I've got.  Sorry.  Boring.  Later!

Busy Weekend

This weekend was jam packed, I'm exhausted and already ready for the weekend.  Ugh!  So what did we do?  Lets see.  Friday, I did my grocery shop, got my hair did and Maggie picked me up at 3:00. We headed to Raeburn where Dad, Becky, Charlie and Eva were. Jim came over after work and we had pizza.  Saturday I cleaned; Jim took Bubba to the vet (more on that in a minute) and washed the cars, finally took down the Christmas lights (I know, I know).  We headed to Grand Finale around 6:30 where we had a lovely and lively dinner with the family. Sunday, Jim and I were up and out early to have brunch with Fritz at the 360 Riverview restaurant in Covington.  Delicious...hadn't been there in a long time.  After that, we came home and I relaxed for most of the day.  I really look forward to a NOTHING weekend this weekend.

So Bubba:  I knew he had lost weight but didn't realize he had lost so much.  Seven pounds.  UGH!  The doc definitely wants him to put some lbs. back on.  I stopped at Kroger Saturday to stock up on canned food. His skin looks good - no inflammation, no redness.  She did give us a medicated shampoo to get the scales and crap off his skin (he's had 3 baths in the last month and is PISSED!).  After his bath yesterday, Jim took him on a walk and said he basically RAN the whole way.  So happy, I think to be out and about in near springlike weather. Hopefully we're on an upswing - both weather and Bubba's skin issues.

Quote of the day:  "Why couldn't it be follow the butterflies?"  This from Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets.  Said by Ron.  I fell asleep to that movie last night and kept hearing that in my head.

Okay well, it's OGT week at school which means I have a pretty easy day until 10:30 when classes start.  We'll have 4 classes a day and I just plan on showing Catching Fire in LA and Blast from the Past in US History.  For my testing assignment, I'm proctoring one student who needs individual testing so that's easy.  Oh, and Horshack will be with me as well (just certain days as he'll come in late a couple times this week).

Well, I need to complete my regime.  Later...happy Monday.

A Star Is Born

Such a star!!! Sorry about the quality.

Long Night

Tonight will be a long night at school for Academic Fair.  It starts at 6 and goes until 7:30.  Although we have to be there at 5:00 for set up but I will be eating dinner at my desk instead.  I mean, truly - set up consists of a table and a cardboard thingy that says "Special Ed".  I love how they always put us last in the row of tables...farthest away from everyone.  Wouldn't want to "catch" what we have, that's for sure.  Anyway - I'll come home straight after school, let the dogs out, freshen up and then head back to school, grabbing my dinner on the way.

In Eva news - I mean, how big is she getting?!  I know I'm partial but she is so pretty and I can't wait to see her tomorrow!!!  YAY!!! Muwee will be so happy!

Um, lets see...not much else is going on.  I've been having a bit of trouble with one of my kids at school. She's been stealing money from home and then eating obscene amounts of food everyday. In the last month, she's spent about $65 on food in the cafeteria.  Eating all that along with her packed lunch and her breakfast...mom apparently noticed her gaining weight.  Had to deal with that yesterday. Then, to p that off, some kid filmed her in science class dancing to Bill Nye and then posted it on Youtube. (Not sure why teachers don't nip that bullshit in the bud right away...the minute this girl starts any inappropriate and immature behavior around me I demand she stop). Understand, this girl is autistic and rather socially stupid...she does crazy shit all the time, but for some asshole to film her and put it up on Youtube?  Ridiculous.  I guess some other kids at school saw it and demanded that the jackass who posted it take it down calling it cyber-bullying.  Other kids - one of my other stellar sped kids - posted a horrible comment (I didn't see or hear what it said).  These kids were turned in to the principals and there was supposedly some yelling but I haven't heard if there was any other consequence or if the girls parents were called.  So, I'll have to deal with that today.  Something better happen.

Okay - well, I guess I better mosey.  Later!

We've Got Poop!

So the saga of Bubba continues. You see, Bubba's been constipated.  He's been eating but only pooping little nuggets and if you know anything about Bubba, well, I like to call him Sir Poops-A-Lot.  On normal walks, he can poop up to 4 times.  I know that  doesn't seem "normal" but for him it is.  He's always been that way.  So, when we started noticing a change in his "bathroom" habits or lack thereof.  Jim called the vet yesterday and guess what her suggestion was?  Canned pumpkin.  Just a tablespoon full.  And this morning?  Jim told me he got up at 3 AM and TA-DA!!!  He pooped twice.  YAY BUBBA!!!

Now, his skin still doesn't seem to be great.  He's still flaky and losing fur but I'm attributing that to the meds needing to take effect.  They say four to six weeks.  We'll see on Saturday I guess when Bubs heads back to the vet.  Fingers crossed.

In school news: Nothing much going on.  I made a killer review game for Catching Fire...Jeopardy and then a matching game.  I think the kids will do well on the test...I hope.  Can't wait to get the movie and watch next week.

And that's about all I've got.  Best head up and out.  Oh, and YAY!!! It's Wednesday - early release!!!  And for me it's my Thursday!  Woot!  Later!

A Little Midnight Vomiting

Nice, right?  I'm sure my Mom is going, "Oh MUIR!" about my post title.  Oh, and to clarify, it wasn't me doing the throwing up, it was Bubba.  I'm not sure what was up there but at around midnight or a little after, I heard the tell-tale signs of up-chucking. I turned on the light and Bubba was laying in his pillow, not getting up, gagging.  Jim got up, cleaned up and THEN Bubba arose.  I think he's not really eating again...Jim will serve him up a treat today for breakfast.

In other news, I've started a really good book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.  This is actually a book that's been out for a good while...since 2006 I think.  I've had the book for a long time but had never gotten around to reading.  I think it was tagged as an adolescent read but I'm finding it quite enjoyable (and I think it may be a bit difficult for kids).  Well, as enjoyable as a WWII book set in Nazi Germany can be. Oh, and there's a movie about to come out (March 5th) too.  I timed that perfectly, huh.  It's really interesting because the narrator of the book is Death.  Not the Devil which would make it scary, Death. Very good so far.  I'll update the old book blog when I can.

And I've got nothing else.  Maggie and Charlie and Eva are coming down this weekend and we're all going to Grand Finale for dinner Saturday.  Should be enjoyable.

K - well, it's cold as HELL outside so I think a little blow drying is needed.  Later.  Happy Tuesday...ooh and bonus!  I only have to work three days this week (taking Friday off).  Woot!  Later!

Oscars and Blizzard Bags

It's a good thing we got a snow day today because I stayed up until midnight watching the Oscars.  Who can believe it!?  I'm normally such a loser.  So my opinion (I know you've all been waiting to hear my fashion pics and misses).  I was a huge fan of Chrissy Teign's dress...so cute.  I really liked Amy Adams because I love her and I love classic colors...same with Sandra Bullock.  I was also a fan of Cate Blanchett though I know my mother thought it washed her out...I don't agree...in the lights and whatnot, you could really see the gold and sparkle.  I was not a fan of Anne Hathaway's dress although I enjoyed the blindingness of it on camera. I am never a fan of that metallic, structured capey look and so I did not like Kate Hudson or Camilla Alves (Matthew Mc's wife). I did not like Angelina Jolie's dress either...looked old and matronly.  Realistically, however, I liked everything.  I never saw anything that was ugly.

Overall - everything was a hit for me last night...especially the speeches.  I don't know how people get up and say such eloquent things with that much pressure and nerves flooding your body.  I would be a basket case.  I was flabbergasted by John Travolta's idiocy...what can you say though, I guess not EVERYONE is eloquent.

In school news, my Blizzard Bags have been posted and sent to parents.  Kids got hard copies on Friday so hopefully they'll get their shit done.  And now I'm done with snow and snow days.  We have no more days to use and it's time for some spring weather - minus the storms.

Okay well, Bubba's giving me the eye...oh, he just hopped up on the couch to cuddle.  That's my cue to sign off and give the pups some extra love.  Later!

Fun Weekend

I have BIG plans this weekend...to do NOTHING!  Yesterday, on my way home, I did my grocery shop so when I woke up this morning, I only had to walk Sami (which I've already done). With Snowmageddon on its way, I knew Kroger would most likely be a nightmare today and I didn't want to have to kill anyone with my shopping cart. Now that that is out of the way, I just have to shower, fill the log box and head to Shooters for some beer and fun. YAY!  Jim and I will most likely come home and lounge on the couch...maybe watch a movie.  There are a ton that I want to see that are On Demand:  Gravity, Dallas Buyer's Club, About Time, The Butler, Fruitvale Station...I might leave it up to Jim.  He won't want to watch About Time but I'll most likely watch that on my own...romance...love it...love Rachel McAdams.

Bubba isn't eating...I don't think.  Well, let me rephrase that: Bubba doesn't seem to be eating his dog food.  He still likes his biscuits, carrots and the meat we use to wrap his pills in but I haven't seen or heard him go to the bowls to eat in a long time.  I've tried squirting the joint juice on his food to eat but he just licks that off and then walks away.  So, I gave him a little something special this morning and he gobbled it up.  Hopefully this is just a one time thing an he won't have continuing issues.  I've noticed that he seems skinnier (less fat) too so I'll have to keep an eye out.  They say one possible side effect of his meds is anorexia.  When I told Jim that he said, "I did see him sticking his paw down his throat the other day."  Dumb ass...that's bulimia.  Jim's stupid!  Hee hee!

Okay well, I guess I better go fill the log box and then shower.  They're still unsure about what exactly we're in for here in the tri-state.  We could get up to a quarter inch of ice and up to 8 inches of snow.  Those totals are the max, however, and we could get less of each, depending on what the temps do.  Regardless though, we should get at least 3 inches of snow...who knows.  I doubt we'll have school on Monday, however, and I'm fine with that...I can watch the Oscars then.  Woot!

K - I'm out...later!
