Steamy!

We had rain overnight and with the temp still a bit muggy it is a steamy morning. Yesterday we also had a really crazy little storm go through. The wind was whipping in the opposite direction it normally blows and the rain was literally going sideways. It was nuts. At one point, I was inside doing PIB meal prep and I looked outside and saw how hard the wind was blowing and I ran into the garage because I didn't want to see it. When I got in there with my hands up against my ears I said to Jim, "I'M FREAKING OUT!" And I look over and there are the two guys who are building our deck. They must think I'm nuts. Who cares though, right?

So happy it's Friday. I've taken Scoutie on his walk and eaten breakfast and after this, I think I'll go down to the trail and take a ride. Jim was going to go with me but alas, he says his energy is zapped. That's fine because it's not like we really ride together anyway.

Did I mention the results of Jim's appointment Tuesday? I don't think I did. They've upped his meds slightly. Where he was on 75% dosage, he's not on about 85%. He added an extra pill at night. So far all is well.

The deck is really coming along. I'll post pics tomorrow (even though it's Saturday and if I remember). I love it already! It's going to be so nice to sit out there in the rockers I got, sipping coffee (or a mimosa!). Should be lovely! I'm hoping they get all the boards laid today and then only have the steps to build and the wrap around.

The faucet is in and lovely. It was a bit of a drama getting it because Home Depot didn't have any that I really liked and Lowes is stupid but I finally found one and installation was easy as pie.

And that's all I've got. Time to get on the move and down to the trail before it gets too crazy. This weekend will be pretty tame but we may go out on Saturday to celebrate Doug's birthday. We'll see.
