Scared Shitless

So Jim and I had a couple friends over last night to talk/plan for a trip to Vegas...a little dinner, a little wine, a little freaked out puppy who literally had the shit scared out of him. See, Dan, Jim's friend has a sweet pit mix named Ekho. Well, he brought her over and when poor Boo got a look at her, he lost his shit. I mean, I've never seen a dog so frightened! We ended up putting Ekho in the garage and Scout was fine but Boo barked, literally for 2 hours. He finally exhausted himself and passed out upstairs in his cage but man oh man...that didn't work out well. I think if we had done the introduction a little easier with a little more control, all would have been okay. And just so you know, Ekho was great...not aggressive, did nothing in any way to intimidate Boo but her size just freaked my little boy out. UGH!

So the Vegas trip will hopefully go through. Dan and Christine just need to check their calendars for the dates. I'd like to go for about 4 days around June 8th/9th. We'll see...hopefully I'll know in a few days.

Our PD yesterday was fine...probably didn't need a whole day and none of the English co-teaching classes was figured out which means that 3 sped teachers still don't know what they're teaching. However, caseloads were figured out and I know what my schedule will be...well what I'll be teaching.

The walk out today should be interesting. Our district is "allowing" students to walk out but they are not promoting it or encouraging it. If students walk out, they can't leave the building and teachers can only "walk out" if all students in their room walk out...you know for "safety". I really don't agree with not supporting or encouraging this in our kids but I'm not the administration and at least we aren't punishing students who do opt to walk out like other districts. Dumb.

K - I'm running late...need to motor. Later! Happy Wednesday!
