And We Have A Fever!

Ugh...Jim hovered around 100 most of the weekend and then last night he went up to 102.9. He's been off the cancer med since Friday (took his last dose on Friday morning) but has continued with his pred. He's been getting headaches as well which usually happen at night when he's sleeping and hurts most when he's laying down. Which means he comes to the family room and sleeps in recliner until I get out of bed. He's actually scheduled for his 6 month dermatology check this morning so after going to that, he's going to stop in at the Barrett Center and let them know what's going on. He thinks they'll want to do an IV and get some fluids in because - oh yeah - he also threw up last night. That's a new one. UGH! I hate this. Currently he's laying in bed with an ice pack on his head trying to bring his fever down. I told him I'd stay home and take him in but he said no. I'll be "on call" if he needs me though. Stupid cancer and fever and meds that his stupid body won't tolerate.

Other than that - we had an okay weekend. We did head to Party Source and replenished our kegs, vodka, spiced rum and champagne. We had lunch at Yard House which was delicious as well. Other than that, we hung out, watched football and, oh right, we did play cards on Friday night. Jim didn't feel bad bad until yesterday (he pretty much slept all day) and of course this morning. I knew he had a fever last night when, around 2:00 he got up to put more blankets on the bed. It wasn't cold.

This is a crazy week at school. We have PSAT and pre-ACT testing on Wednesday for sophomores and juniors. On that day - seniors will be out of the building doing community service stuff and freshmen are doing something else. I'm proctoring the pre-ACT. Thursday is the last day of the quarter and Friday we don't have school. I pretty much forgot all of this when I was writing out my plans last Friday which means I have to move around what I'm doing this week. Oops. I think today I'll finish Harry Potter with my 1st bell (5th period finished it Friday) and then give both classes the test I put together for it. That'll give me a chance to figure out the rest of the week.

And that's it. I need to go make a last check on Jimmy and head out. Happy Monday. Crossed fingers and prayers that this fever gets gone and Jim bounces back. Later!
