K - I'm over it now. So I decided to change up my and Jim's breakfast. Instead of doing our breakfast sandwich every day, I'm doing a variety of stuff (we'll still have our breakfast sandwiches a couple times a week though). Today we had whole grain waffles with banana slices and pecans. And of course some juice. Today's concoction was grapefruit, mango, carrot, celery, apples and oranges. It was delicious...you could really taste the grapefruit.
In school news: Nothing too exciting. Things went well yesterday with the kids. I started the kids on a journaling activity and the first thing they had to do was answer the 10 questions made famous by Bernard Pivot:
1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on?
4. What turns you off?
5. What sound or noise do you love?
6. What sound or noise do you hate?
7. What is your favorite curse word?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
I knew the kids would like this. Of course number 7 was their favorite and they couldn't believe they were allowed to actually write a bad word! Interestingly I had one kid say "None" and several who put "ass". I got a couple of "bitch"es...lame. I told them that were I writing it my current favorite curse word is "shitballs". They thought that was funny. I haven't read my 6th period answers yet and I'm sure they'll be as immature as they are but no judging here - well, not to their faces.
