Oh God, that was funny..."hoppy" Easter...the jokes are flying fast and early here in the Hanke household this morning. So, today - I will be roasting my first turkey! Should be interesting - especially since I've got my instructions from my mother and can I tell you (I love you Mom), she doesn't proof read shit before she sends it on!? I've already called her once for assistance (what to set the oven on) but I also need to check later to see what some other things mean. Along with the turkey, I will of course be serving mashed potatoes, stuffing, asparagus and my favorite - Under the Sea salad - it's a lime Jell-o concoction that is just to die for!!!
I will be starting breakfast here in a minute. I haven't been around for the past two weeks to do this and Jim is jonesin for fried bread and turkey bacon - as are Zeke and Sami (Bubba had bacon at his Aunt Maggie's).
After breakfast, Jim and I need to get the insulation in place in the bathroom and think about the electric (rerouting for the pocket door). I'd love to get the pocket door in so that we can close that off from the bedroom and dogs. We'll see how Jim reacts to that suggestion - he's been a bit of a bear when I've tried to organize. He's such a huge pain in my ass sometimes. Such a curmudgeon! This is exciting shit and he just isn't feeling it. He said last night that the demolition just made him realize he's an old man. I said, "You didn't know before that?!" Hee Hee. I'm not very sympathetic to his plight if you haven't noticed. One of these minutes, I'm going to smack him upside the head and yell, "SNAP OUT OF IT!!!"Okay - I'm going to go mix my Jell-o and then start breakfast. Happy Easter (I was going to say, Happy Easter Jesus lovers but that would blasphemous wouldn't it?)
Oh, by the way - I had to show these two cartoons. The one, when I saved it automatically saved under the title "chicken bunny" and then other "chicken liquor" - that makes me laugh!
