Hello!

I don't have much to say. I'm about to head upstairs and get ready to go to Columbus. I'll be there for 2 days - home Thursday. Not many plans while I'm there - just hanging with Maggie. I'll be taking Bubba as well. He loves Zoe. He loves Max too but when he sees Zoe, his tail goes in circles. I think he likes that he can just about walk between her legs. I mean, who wouldn't love to be able to just freely walk under their friends legs.

By the way? It's colder than a witches boobie here. In fact, there was a little snow on our deck this morning. UGH!!! Nice spring break, huh? Actually, I couldn't care less. I'm just happy to be away from that place.

I haven't shared with you all (who aren't employed at my school) the shit that has recently hit the fan. To make is short and sweet: The fact that HH (my principal - which is stretching the definition of the word by calling him that) is a complete asshole and the biggest f&%er ever was recently proven when he fired (did not renew the contract of) my two colleagues. Last year, these two women tried to get a continuing contract. They were denied for lame reasons. They had this year (only) to try and "improve" their teaching and be rewarded a continuing contract. If they were denied again, they would be forced to leave the school and seek employment elsewhere. HH never planned on giving them their contract. These two women went above and beyond anything that any other teacher has ever been expected to do. In all the areas HH claimed they were lacking, they improved and still, Friday, the last day before spring break, he told them they were fired. This man is the worst example of a "leader" I've ever come across and the people who are far up his ass are just as bad. It sucks really bad that I've come to really hate this place - or at least the people who are running it. I just need to bide my time - hopefully Karma will rear it's ugly head and kick some of these f%&ers arses!!!

Anyway, Dot, one of the women denied a contract will be appealing the decision to our superintendent (SI). Our union rep (who's been involved with their issues since last year) said that HH has opened Pandora's box in firing them because there are several other complaints against him. Hopefully my SI has seen his inability to be unbiased and fair (and see what an asshole he is) and will reverse his decision. I think that Dot will have to go in front of the board and I would like be there in support for her. I would love other teachers to show to - just to illustrate what an ass HH is but I think people are too afraid. We'll see.
