Demolition Day!!!

Oh boy am I excited. I woke up at 1 AM last night and couldn't go back to sleep thinking about everything dealing with the bathroom (well, worrying about everything with the bathroom). I need to stop that shizz. Anyway, yesterday, Jim and I spent about 3 hours shopping for the majors. We got the tub, vanity (had to go with the 30" rather than the 36" - fit was an issue), mirror, wall tile and floor tile. Nearly $2000 later, we headed to the bar to celebrate - with a little Megatouch. Nothing perverted - it's a video game. Anyway, the only major things left to buy are: toilet, vanity hardware, bath hardware, lighting and the glass block. I have everything picked out except the lighting which I'll probably do next week. We're also thinking about putting in a skylight. I've seen it done and it's really very easy and it gives the room a ton of light. We'll see. We also have to buy the grout, caulking, piping etc., but I told Jim he was in charge of all that since I don't know a thing in that area. All of our bought materials should be in by the 17th so in the time until then, we can demo and to dry wall. Yippee!!!

Ooh, and paint color - I'm thinking about a khaki, tanny color. We'll also paint the bedroom.

Ooh, I'm nervous.

Ooh, and I've got to start thinking about the "decor" (you know shower curtain etc). I have an idea of what I want - colorwise - I just have to find it.

Ooh, the terlit I'm thinking about is advertised as being able to flush a bucket of golf balls!!! Nowt that's sooooommmmeeee terlit! Probably more than I need but if Jim ever uses my terlit...well, you know...he may need one with that kind of strength!

Okay - best go finish my book and finish drinking my coffee. We'll go pick Jimmy's car up from repair and then, sledgehammer, here I come.

Oh, and how good is my husband? He's upstairs cleaning out all his stuff in the bathroom without me even asking him to! Amazing! Shocking! It's a breakthrough!!!
