Bits and Pieces

It's been a few days...sorry. My friends and family have worn me out!!! What with the Turkey Day Race (6.2 miles mostly walking but some running) and then daring the "crazies" at 5 AM on Black Friday - I'm worn out!

So yesterday was fun - or rather as fun as getting up at 4 AM on a blessed day off and standing in line for hours on end can be. I found some good deals for presents and tried hard not to buy too much for myself. I did end up getting a gift for Trip (although I'm still going to get him something else), Mom, and Jimmy. I got myself a pair of jeans, a couple of fleece pullovers from Old Navy (2 for $15), a couple of sweaters for work, an awesome blanket that I laid under all day yesterday, some candles and, um...that's it. I am sore like you wouldn't believe - mainly my arms from standing in line holding crap but my shins hurt too from the race. Today will be a day of rest. I need to get my puzzle complete so I can put the damn thing away. Jim's being tortured by it right now.

I don't think I'll do a major grocery shop this week so I can balance my spending from yesterday a little. I just really need milk, creamer, etc. I'm feeling a bit boring and this post is way unexciting.

Ooh, I am hoping that I will get lucky at Kroger and find another couple of six packs of my favorite Jack Pumpkin's Spice Ale but it isn't looking good. You see, I went on Thanksgiving Day, right before heading to Raeburn, hoping I could take some over for Dad to try. I lucked out: There sitting by it's lonesome was a last 6-pack. It wasn't even in the right spot and I almost missed it. So when I go today I don't have my hopes too high but I can still hope. What Anheuser Busch needs to come out with now is a Christmas Ale - something with nutmeg and cinnamon with cranberry or better yet - raspberry. I would absolutely buy that! I need to call someone from there to get the idea planted! Wonder who I could contact.

K - later.
