I have two weeks of school left, which means, this time in two weeks, I'll be in PIB! Woot!
Weekend Recap: Friday was just a chill night. I had a dentist appointment after school (all went well and my mouth looks great according to my doc) and then I came home to make dinner (brats and metts), drink a couple cocktails with the neighbors, take a nice bubble bath and sleep.
Saturday, Jim and I made plans to head out to a new brewery. This time it was The Common Beer Company in Mason. It was good. Small. I enjoyed a flight with a couple brown ales, a stout and a lemony wheat. I did not like the lemony wheat...tasted like a hefeweizen...YUCK! Here's a funny thing: We were at the bar with only one other dude sitting there and in walks a couple of ladies, one of whom had a PIB Boardwalk sweatshirt on. And Jim had a PIB t-shirt on. I mean what are the chances?
Anyway - afterward, we headed to a nearby restaurant - The Lucky Dog Grille - and enjoyed a yummy lunch. One of the draws that took us there was they had this whole section of mac and cheese dishes and we all know how Jim is a sucker for mac and cheese. It was good...they have a great craft beer selection. From there we came home and hung out until dinner. We went out to Asian Paradise...a little sushi a little General Tso's chicken...Jim enjoyed a mai tai...Jimmy loves himself a mai tai.
Oh, I forgot to mention, on our way home from lunch, we stopped and bought a new lawn mower! Woot! I can't remember what the brand is but I took it out for a spin and it's lovely. I look forward to using if for real once things dry out.
Sunday, I wanted to take the pups for a walk but alas, it never wasn't misting or raining and nasty. So...I did my elliptical and just hung out at home. Made some scones and biscotti and read my book. The dogs were crazy lazy which made me want to cuddle with them. It wasn't a very productive day but who cares?
Jim is so funny! He just got a whole bowl of cereal all ready, topped with bananas and blueberries and oops...no milk. We do have almond milk however so he'll use that.
I have a morning 1/2 day meeting today - pfft! I actually don't mind like I usually do. I need a break from the kids. I'm SO done with teaching this year! Thank God I've only got a couple sections left in history to go and in science, we're on the final exam reviews starting today. Language Arts, we have less than a half chapter in our book which means we can watch the movie for the rest of the week. Should be easy breezy.
K - well, I guess I should get a move on. Happy Monday! Later!
