Currently I'm doing a writing assignment in my LA classes. Now, if you know me, you know that I HATE! HATE! HATE! teaching writing. Why? Because my kids - if they can form a cohesive sentence - can barely do so. My assignment is in depth (based on the Hunger Games) and I'll explain it more in the future, once the final "drafts" are in, but you should be VERY EXCITED about what is written because it will most likely keep you in stitches for a long time to come. Me? And Diane? We are currently in HELL trying to get these kids to understand what the actual assignment is. And though I've said it's in depth (only because I'm breaking each paragraph down, bit by bit to help them along) the assignment itself isn't hard. Basically they're creating their own character for the Games. But these kids are so dense (some more than others) that I feel like I'm beating my head against the wall. My days are exhausting and I have to say that THANK GOD we are taking a break from writing today. I'm in the wrong profession, by the way.
Okay - so, sorry this is so short but I made my breakfast sandwich this morning, it's now 6AM and I need to crack-a-lack out the door. Later!
