So, this is f%&ed up! Jim and I got our insurance bill recently (6-month policies due at the end of July and January - combo auto and home). For some reason (economy - I don't know) our insurance went up about $500. So I shopped around and ended up saving us about $1000. Through Progressive, I was able to get home insurance (a full year with the same coverage as the other policy) for just under $500. For auto - the both of us (a 6-month policy) just under $400. Our other insurance wanted to charge us $1586 for 6 months (home and auto)! That's effed up. AND!!! When Jim called our current insurance agent to discuss the sudden rise in cost, the guy wouldn't call us back. Just seems like in this day and age with the economy struggling to get back on its feet, people working on commission and in such a competitive industries - you'd THINK these people would work a little. Return a phone call. No skin off my nose though - I just saved a boat load and did it all on computer! Thanks Progressive! In other news - today is another day of chillin! I'm in a much better mood - a little less stressed - now that the insurance issue is dealt with and I have no other HUGE bills coming my way (knock on wood). I'll head to Blockbuster here in a bit to return Weeds and then rent the first disc of the 4th season. I'm tempted to just return all DVDs to my usual BB and go to the one 2nd closest to my house. In fact, I am going to do that. The one closest to my house doesn't ever have the DVDs I want and they don't even carry the series In Treatment! Seriously! I mean its up for an Emmy for the 2nd year in a row. The guy at the BB I usually go to - when I asked him about this said, "Oh, well, we don't really carry any HBO series anymore." Me: "Um, yeah ya do! Big Love? True Blood? Entourage?" Dumb Ass!!!
In J Bird News: All went well yesterday with him getting his tubes put in! Hopefully he will now have ZERO ear infections. I'll be waiting for the phone call that he's now walking and that he's said his first complete sentence ("I love my Aunt Frog!!!) . Can't wait to see him - hopefully this weekend as Maggie and Charlie are coming down!K - I'm going to go straighten up and love on my pups a little before I head out for errands. Oh, finished my latest book - another winner! I'll report on that later. Ta!
