New Books!!!

So excited!!! Jim and I went to First Watch this morning - delicious - and then I was finally able to get restocked in books! We went to Half Price, I pulled out my list and lo and behold, I was able to cross off 7 of the nearly 20 on there. Here's what I bought (and yes, I know there are 8 books there but I bought one that wasn't on my list) :

• Baker Towers by Jennifer Haigh
• The Condition by Jennifer Haigh
• Promise Not to Tell by Jennifer McMahon
• What Was Lost by Catherine O'Flynn
• The Speed of Light by Elizabeth Rosner
• The Mercedes Coffin by Faye Kellerman (yes, a Decker and Lazarus novel)
• Empire Falls by Richard Russo
• The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penny

I'm very excited about them all! I also bought the movies American President and 12 Angry Men in preparation for teaching Government to my Social Studies class. Any reason to show a movie!!!

As for the book I started today - I'm hooked already and only on page 70! I kind of wish I could hang out here and read all night but...

...I just got off the treadmill (2 miles) and need to shower in preparation for a Terri's Mexican feast!!! Arriba Arriba, Andalay Andalay!!! (Which is, btw, the equivalent to "Rise up and let's go"!!!)
