Ok. To tell you a little bit about me, I have the craziest dreams. When I remember them, they are incredibly vivid and weird. I also have recurring dreams and the ones I dream the most deal with my teeth falling out and being back in school and not being prepared for a test or an exam. The teeth falling out thing (dreamt that last week at PIB) usually consists of me being somewhere like work and my teeth literally crumbling in my mouth. I usually tell the kids to hold on for a minute, walk to the trash can and spit a mouthful of tooth into it. It's nice. They say it has to do with being worried about your appearance. Hmm. Does anyone out there know me? So, yeah, that fits.
So last night (this morning really) I dreamt that I had traveled back in time (I'm reading a time travel book) and was in the "Wild West" (don't know why there cause there aren't any wranglers in my current book). Anyway, I had been there for a while when a couple of people I knew from the future showed up. Apparently I was expecting them because they had brought with them the SUV that I had ordered (wasn't too thrilled about the horseback thing). It was a huge (can't hide this thing) white Chevy Suburban looking thing but was called a Loretta. (I even named the model of the car) Anyway, one of my new friends (from the current wild west time) gets in the car to check it out and drives away, having never driven a car before. So now, I'm seeing the action in my dream but not really there. So this guy, I'll call him Cowboy, drives to the grocery (I know - they didn't have grocery stores in the wild west) but only because the poor Cowboy didn't know how to turn or stop so he just kept going until he ran into something (the grocery was at the end of a street). Then we're in the car and I've caught up to him and I'm driving and I'm at Put-in-Bay and I'm trying to go the same route back to the Wild West time (see, dumbass Cowboy has driven so far that he drove right into MY time). Then, I think Sami may have jumped on my face because that dream ended and the next one began (see below if you dare).
Next I dreamt I was back in high school and I was going into my second period class with Ms. Davidson (an English teacher from St. Ursula that I never had - she left after my freshman year and taught 10th grade) and I had a test on a novel that I didn't read. I know that it was about slavery but in my dream, it was the book "Native Son" by Richard Wright (I'm pretty sure this was a book I actually had to read in 10th grade and yes, I read it.) Now this book takes place in the 1930s not during slavery but whatever, it was a dream. I was sitting there in my desk, waiting for Ms. Davidson to pass out the tests thinking "Hey, I know enough about slavery. I can bullshit this test...no problem. Of course, now that I think about it, since the book wasn't even about slavery, I was going to be screwed.) Anyway, I remember thinking in my dream that I made a sucky student and I was quite the hypocrite since I was always on my students backs (as a teacher) to do their homework and I couldn't even read a novel. I then raised my hand and asked Ms. Davidson if from now on, I could sit in the front row because I was obviously a terrible student and wanted to turn over a new leaf. (What a loser I am - even in my dreams.)
Funny, in this morning's dream and the one at PIB about my teeth, Maggie called and woke me up. Interesting.
