A Beautiful, Lazy Saturday!!!

So, it's already nearly 2 and I've done almost nothing today.

I woke up around 7:30 to the pitter-patter on my face of Sami who was ready to start her day. Soon after, Jim got up and we made our menu for the week and grocery list. Then, I went to Kroger and stocked up, came home, unloaded the groceries and ate lunch. Jim had been out in the yard cleaning stuff up and putting some of our summer things away. After lunch, we both, somehow, got sucked into the family room by a irresistible force, pulling us to the couch where we watched an Alfred Hitchcock - The Man Who Knew Too Much (a favorite of mine). Finally, we both got our rumps up and here I am. Jim's back outside, finishing what he started (I know, unbelievable!).

Later, the neighborhood is having an "Owner's Association" party right across the circle from us and Michelle, the hostess, invited us over even though we aren't a part of the association - so to speak. I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not but just in case, I have the makings for an appetizer (Artichoke Dip) and beer, of course. I'd much rather stay home with my hubby and cuddle on the couch and watch a movie. We'll see.

Tomorrow, I'm going to stay around here, clean house and cook some muffins for my students. They deserve a treat for being so great on Friday during my observation (without being asked) and working so hard during the 1st quarter. I may make this a tradition at the end of every quarter - depending on their behavior. I know they'll be appreciative - they'd never say no to food - the big pigs!

Oh, on a last note: Jim had his biggest night at Mecklenburg's last night. Made over $100 - not bad! He said it was his best night too because he was comfortable and didn't feel like he sucked too bad as a waiter. He only works Friday and Saturday next week but those are two big money makers, so that's good. I'm glad he stuck with this and is getting more comfortable with it.

Okay - I think I'll go soak in the tub and read my book and then take a nap! Ooh, the mail just arrived - I have to see if Maggie's rehearsal invitation is here. Later.

Sunday - Double-dipped chicken fingers, Cole slaw and fries

Monday - Salisbury Steak, green beans, mashed potatoes

Tuesday - Burritos

Wednesday - Leftovers

Thursday - Sausage and broccoli skillet

Friday - Leftovers (Jim working)
