Weekend Plans

It is Saturday and I'm up - of course - at the crack of dawn. Yawn!

So, I'm drinking coffee and at 9:30 I will get in the car to get my Market Day pick up. I already grocery shopped yesterday since I had the day off so I'm ahead of the game! I will also clean the crap out of my house (no there isn't really "crap" in my house it's a figure of speech). My dogs - I think - are starting to shed their winter coat so I think I'll brush the "crap" out of them and then, the day is my own. I would love to go to the bar and have a couple of beers but with basketball crazy people everywhere, I'm afraid it will be a mad house. I may just chance it. I don't even know when the games are - and I can tell you I don't care! I have to say I hate basketball. No interest in it. Plus, they wear their shorts too long nowadays. Remember in the 70s and 80s when the players had those nice shorts where you could actually see their legs! Hmm. Okay, maybe they looked stupid then too. See what I mean? Basketball is stupid. (By the way, I think I can see Larry's johnson, I mean wait a minute...Hey look, there's Larry Bird and Magic Johnson - I'm so clever!)

Well, yesterday I was approved for my home equity loan and went to the bank to sign part of my life away. It's only a $20,000 floating line of credit that I got mainly to help pay for the heat pump that needs replacing and will cost $4,500. Considering I don't really have any debt except for a small credit card, I'm in good shape but I still managed to wake up in the middle of the night thinking about money or lack thereof. I just have to keep saying to myself that it's just money. I can't take it with me and it isn't like I'm unemployed and can't pay the bills. IT'S JUST MONEY!!! I so need to win the lottery. Seriously, people who say money is the root of all evils never had to replace their heat pump!

Maybe I will go the bar for a couple beers later.

(God, doesn't that look freakin good? I wonder what time the bar opens - kidding. Not really.)
