R.I.P. Wolfie

Today, my Mom and Richard's beloved pup, their friend and sweet baby passed away. He was a gentle giant who's life, though somewhat short (he was about 8) was much longer and fuller than it could have been had my parents not come into his life. Through their love and dedication for his health, he was able to live a much richer life, even with congenital heart disease.

Wolfie loved to chase squirrels and birds (much to my mother's dismay) and really anything worth running after and I'm sure, right now in heaven he's surrounded by wildlife and he's chasing to his heart's content without even being winded! (And I'm sure the squirrels in heaven are wondering if they've suddenly been transported into hell!)

There's nothing worse than losing a friend like this, especially when it's so, seemingly unexpected but if it counts for anything in heaven, how we treat our animals on earth, my mom and Richard have a spot saved and all of those sweeties that they've loved and cherished - unconditionally - are sitting there, waiting for them, smiling and wagging their tails!
